Every time that I have visited everyone has been pleasant, my moms room has been clean. [name removed] the activities director is amazing! She keeps me posted and send photos of the events. Everyone that has visited her has been very pleased!

My parents moved into American House Lakeshore after weighing all their options over a few months. [name removed] was extremely helpful, flexible, and responsive answering all our questions and making sure everyone felt comfortable about moving in. Since then, my parents have adjusted fairly quickly for a couple in their mid 80s. They love to sit outside on the expansive front porch and look at the lake. They even have a slice of a lake view from their apartment. While the entire building is lovely (and smells nice!), the staff make it even better. The single point of contact, the front desk, for most everything is very easy for them. The twice monthly housekeeping is reliable and takes this burden off my mom. They seem pleased with the meals and enjoy having the menu in their apartment so they can pick what they want before they go. They were very prompt, helpful, and more affordable than I had expected. It's been a great experience so far. They could improve the food score by having more variety. And healthier options. I was told it was like school cafeteria food. They serve frozen pizza. She prefers more grains and fish.

The activities director is fabulous. She knocks on residents' doors before activities to be sure to include everyone. The admissions staff worked with our budget to insure that our loved one be could afford to move in straight from rehab. The suite we chose is small but we were able to arrange furniture in a way that is homey and comfortable.

The tour was great so very thorough and the amenities were even better, I am starting my journey to find a place however, Grosse Pointe had many of my wants. I certainly will be back once I do my due diligence and tour others. Thanks

We had a very positive experience with our aunt living at American House over the past year. The employees were attentive and supportive, friendly and loving towards our aunt. She enjoyed meeting and interacting with other residents and partipating in crafts.

I stopped by American house today with my two awesome grandparents looking for an apartment for them to flourish in their community that they will be living in the people that help me with this tour were amazing and very confident thank you for everything

The people here are wonderful, staff and residents. It is smaller than some places so the residents are really like a family. We know everyone, staff and residents by name. Last night we had a Halloween trunk or treat and everyone was outside giving candy to children, again staff and residents. After that the women had a pizza party. It was a great evening.

I would definitely recommend to others. The staff is very attentive, available for help and communicate information to family members as quick as possible.

All are excellent. My uncle seems to be happy there. The security that he is being well cared for

American House Keene for those of a geriatric age, provides meals, family nights, rides and entertainment. All organized by staff that are superb, polite, helpful and compassionate. I am so thankful to call it home.

American House Cedar Lake is an excellent facility. The staff is well trained, responsive and very caring. American House has a "neighborhood" feel to it. Residents are active and quite friendly to each other.

American House Village of Rochester is a great community with great staff that truly cares. The food I tasted was excellent and well presented. [name removed] truly cares and does an excellent job taking care of new families and prospects! Definitely a must see if you are looking for senior living.

I recently attended a networking event at the American House Village location and the food, the people, the games to celebrate Halloween were wonderful and the networking was fantastic.Thank you so much!

American House Village is such an active and welcoming community! There’s always something going on — from engaging activities and outings to friendly gatherings that make everyone feel at home. The residents are truly like family here. The managers go above and beyond for both residents and families. They’re compassionate, responsive, and genuinely care about creating a positive environment every single day. It is very clean. The help are almost 100% excellent. They are helpful and pleasant. The food is mostly good, if somewhat tasteless sometimes. I wish they had more exercise classes and activities other than playing cards and working puzzles. I do think the activities director is great. She is a good driver of the bus and takes us to whatever store we want on Fridays. I wish we could go more than once a week. I used their driver to take me to the doctor and he was excellent. I am having a hard time adjusting to this life. Almost everyone here is on a walker, cane, or wheelchair. Course, it takes time to get to know new friends.
