Brookstone Terrace

I greatly appreciated the integrated approach at Brookstone Terrace. Although my mom had dementia and was a memory care resident, she was always a very social person, and even though she couldn't make any sense of the activities, being allowed to participate was good for her and meant a lot to me. The size of the facility in Woodruff was great, small and homey feeling. The never smelled urine when I came to visit, and that was important to me as well. The staff was attentive and positive, seemed to care about my concerns, and took the best care that they could of my mom.

Cleanliness is a 5 although my family and I found Dad's room very unclean at one point. Immediately called Administration to report it. Was quickly addressed. We felt it necessary to start home health and then hospice to be sure our dad was getting the most attention he needed. Our loved one complained about the quality often and then when he liked it, felt the portions were too small. We found it necessary to supply Dad with healthy snacks to meet his nutritional needs.

The whole community has lots of open space for residents to wander around , plenty of light . They have many rooms for special functions . A barbers shop , Ice cream shop . It's literally like a small town . The staff are wonderful . Unfortunately my husband passed after only being there for about 5 weeks. I saw him everyday at that time, he loved the staff and they loved him . I actually went there today to visit some of the residents that I had got to know. And will continue to go . Thank you for suggesting this location , it really was a God send for us .

The people from the time my wife and I entered the door til the time we left. The set up; the 3 different units: Columbia, Charleston and Greenville! I love the set up. Before we left the facility, I knew that's where I wanted my dad to stay. I even told my kids that when my time comes, this is where I want to be, if my memory is failing me. I spoke with owner on [date removed] at the 4th of July celebration they had and told him how wonderful of a facility he had and a wonderful and caring group of people that work there.

Slam-dunk 5 stars for Brookstone. The staff members are all great. They perform beautifully in a difficult job. Visitors are all impressed. The staff shines in their preparation for a group visit.

Brookstone has helped our Mom transition very well. It was a rough start but she is doing much better! I would recommend to others. We appreciate their patience with our Mom during the adjustment time. It was a difficult start and she is doing g much better now. She did not love it in the beginning but has adjusted to k owing she needs the care.

Helping me figure out where to place my mom. I absolutely would recommend.

They give you all the different directors phone numbers who can be reached at any time. They bend over backwards to ensure your loved one is fully taken care of! I love that group enough to tell my kids after our first tour that that's where they can take me when that time comes! 5 out of 5 ??'s!

The staff was warm and friendly even though my mom was extremely difficult to deal with. Activities seemed in line with what my mom could do. She told me that the food was better than [community removed]. Her room was kept clean and the room was about 30% larger than the one at [community removed]. Overall a good experience even though she was only there for 13 days.

If you are looking for an outstanding, reliable, and caring facility, this is the one. From the first time my wife and I toured the facility, we were amazed at the set up and the thought that was put into this facility. The way that it is set up lake Main Street in a little town is brilliant. I don’t have enough characters in this post to go into details; you have to see it for yourself. The staff is very well trained and caring. My anxiety was through the roof, but they helped calm me down some! Cassarah and the wonderful and so pleasant to speak with. They helped us through every step of the process. From the tour, answering questions, introducing us to the leading/head staff members and even giving us a flyer with all the directors over certain areas and their phone numbers and emails. Even after I got my love one placed, they educated me on how to answer certain questions if my loved one asked me. If I need anything, they make it happen. This is the most wonderful place for my wife I think she is happier here than the rough start of her memory problems. The staff are so caring especially [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed]. They not only care about [name removed] put they care about me.

Its a provider at the community the care is top notch! The CNA's, and all the staff truly care! I love days spent here!

My loved one resided at the facility for the last 3 years. The staff have been wonderful, they have because part of our family. I am happy with our decision to moved my father into this facility.

We are in the process of touring facilities for my grandmother. She has Lewy Body dementia and requires more care than our in home caregivers can provide. We toured this beautiful building and fell in love! We are in the process of moving her in now! They are very educated on the different types of dementia and their care staff were friendly! We have had great communication from the management during this process and can't wait to have her here to experience all the activities offered.
