I had a very pleasant experience visiting. Everyone I met was pleasant and welcoming. The monthly rental was a bit more than I had budgeted and the apartment was smaller than others I visited.

My Dad loved it and is anxious to move in on the [date removed]. It will be good for him since my mom passed. The people were extremely friendly and so helpful. [name removed] and [name removed] already make him feel at home. Thank you so much.

Very lovely and active facility. The staff is so eager to show you around, get acquainted with residents, offer a beverage (i.e., water, coffee, or tea), go over the menu and activities, etc. It definitely appears to be a wonderful place for seniors to live and stay active.

My dad started in an independent building, had a medical crisis, and is now in assisted living. I find the staff refreshingly upbeat, kind, and caring. Most make the extra effort to greet residents by name in the hallways, for example. Having 3 different locations to get meals, and the ability to get take out from the Bistro, ensures a great variety of food choices and settings to enjoy the food, which is better than other places we visited. I’m there a lot, and am so pleased with *everything*— even things you don’t think about at first - like the wonderfully helpful maintenance team, and the bookkeepers who kept our billing straight, despite all the changes we went through with switching buildings and levels of care. The other residents I’ve met are welcoming, happy to live there, and speak highly of the place. It is staffed & managed well, and it’s a huge relief to know Dad is safe and well cared for. Highly recommend.

The staff is so attentive and caring. They treat community members as if they were beloved family members. There are activities that engage the mind, the body and the soul. You hear music and see activities happening all the time. Staff is always busy creating an atmosphere where community members are happy and content. And the food is good.

I love the facility and the staff. The layout is great. From the moment you walk in, everything feels warm and welcoming — bright common areas, wide hallways that are easy to navigate for walkers and wheelchairs, and clear signage that makes it simple for residents and visiting family members to find their way around. The staff truly set this place apart. They are patient, attentive, and genuinely kind with the residents. Caregivers take time to chat, they respond quickly when assistance is needed, and you can tell the residents trust them. The nursing team keeps families informed, and any questions or concerns I had were answered promptly and honestly. The facility is spotless — clean rooms, fresh-smelling common areas, and well-maintained outdoor spaces where residents can enjoy fresh air. The dining experience is better than I expected: meals are appetizing, there are options for different dietary needs, and the dining room is a pleasant, social place to be.

Went to listen to my daughter play her flute for the residents. Had lunch. The food was amazing and the staff were all very friendly. The residents also were genuinely happy. There were also residents playing cards in the activity room. It is always clean, and everyone is always very friendly.

[name removed] is wonderful! Answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. My Mom is VERY happy there so far, loves her studio apartment which is the perfect size for her. My only concern is the elevator situation, there’s only one. It gets quite busy at meal times, as one can imagine. My biggest concern is what happens if that one elevator breaks down? Other than that, it’s a wonderful place and we couldn’t be happier.

Our mother has now lived here a little over a month. She loves it here and so do we. The care is outstanding. Of course there are bumps in the road, but overall, we feel we made the best choice. In my option, the food is most important to my mom. The food is great. She really enjoys the soups the most. Plus, there is restaurant style dining. There are waiters who take their orders and bring them everything they need. Best of all, the restaurant is open from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Moved my mom in 1 year ago She really loves it there. She has many friends and is really happy which make me her daughter very happy. Only one complaint, the last 4 or 5 months the food quality has gone down hill. I know there are changes but food quality need to be a priority.

We have been residents of Cadence for over 2 months. We chose Cadence after looking at many similar senior living facilities because it felt like home. Even walking through the front door felt friendly and welcoming. The staff is amazing, very warm and welcoming. We had several tours, including with family and friends. All of our questions were answered and made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. Cadence creates a warm and inclusive ambiance with lots of activities, entertainment and things to do. We really enjoy the live music. The housekeeping services are great! The staff is awesome at overseeing both housekeeping and laundry services. The location is perfect.. a beautiful park for walks and downtown Millbrae is just 5 blocks away! We can walk to Trader Joe's, Wallgreens, the bank and post office. Plus lots of lovely cafés and restaurants. We are home!

This place was beautiful and the staff seemed very knowledgeable,friendly and helpful, amazing. my overall experience was very positive and would have been a positive experience unfortunately the room was not what we were looking for just yet needed something a little bigger my mom wasn’t ready for a studio type apartment just yet. But we definitely will consider this place in the future if things change in her future. This place is worth a look for sure.

A Place For Mom recently helped me with finding an assisted living facility for my Dad as we were relocating to Roseburg OR. One of the recommendations was Oak Park Senior Living, and we are so happy that we chose them! [name removed] was welcoming and knowledgeable in my initial contact, and all along the way to get my father moved and settled into his new home. The entire staff has been wonderful as well, kind and supportive to me and my father. The facility itself is nice, with a lovely view of the garden for my dad, and lots of music and activities to entertain him each day. There are so many options for social interactions, and the residents seem truely happy here. We are very happy that we chose Oak Park!

Oak Park place clean and beautiful. The entire staff are friendly. When you walk in the doors you can feel and see the pride in each one of the staff members here. Come by any time and visit. It truly feel like one big family reunion.

We enjoyed seeing how happy our mom was in her studio apartment. We were worried about her downsizing from a house to a studio, but it ended up being perfect for her. She had it all decorated so nicely with all her special things. The meal times were great, it was a real treat for her to get ready for her day and head down to the dinning hall and sit among her neighbors that became her dear friends. She joined the bean bag baseball team and instantly had a new set of friends that practiced and played game against other independent living facilities. She was proud to keep her tokens for making home runs. They also had music performers come in and play for them and often she would be asked to dance. She also became a fan of karaoke and had a group time doing that. Her room was always clean and staff would come in to vacuum and mop, clean up the bathroom and restock the TP. The absolutely best part of her stay was without a doubt the staff. they cared for her as if she was their relative. They would shower her with love and do things to make sure she felt special. I felt completely comfortable on the days that I could not visit, because she had a whole group of people that loved on her and took care of her every need and concern. The staff was knowledgeable, hard working, and compasionate. they always had a smile and an attitude of "how can I help you?" We made the right choice trusting our mom in their care. They did a fantastic job and we could not have loved her more than they did.

Facility was so clean, smelled good, and was updated. The staff appeared nice and the residents appeared happy. Best one so far & it's within my budget. Thanks for the referral.

Hickory Solista is great - the staff is attentive, the facility is very clean and well kept, and the one-bedroom apartment is perfect for my dad. There are great activities arranged, but my dad has not wanted to participate. The food, per my dad, is mediocre.

Cogir of Vallejo Hills has been a pleasant experience. My sister loves the size of the room and the refrigerator. She doesn't feel cramped. The food is wholesome and good. Her health has improved with how the food is prepared and the good choices of food. It is a clean place. The staff is supportive. We had one hiccup like getting a prescription filled. The doctor sent the refill to the wrong pharmacy so I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the medicines. It was good working with the staff on that, but draining for me. Historically, my sister isn't very social. So I've gotten her to one activity which she liked. The place is big with several buildings and a beautiful park like hidden garden. So it takes a lot of walking to get used to.

Such a warm, clean, and fun filled place! I love all of the music and entertainment. I also think that the pool and exercise room are wonderful. My dad has lived here for about three years now. It’s a great place!

I like living here as the staff is always willing to help you. And the residence are happy and like each other. We have many activities the month long. I have lived here for over 4 1/2 years. I have made many friends.
