The staff is very friendly. Sometimes they come around more than you pay them for. Which is not a bad thing. I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

Not as nice as others we visited. Rooms small. Didn't 'click' for Dad.

Deteriorating structure and unfriendly environment

My mother lived here for a few months. At first things were great, but after replacing the head chef the quality of food deteriorated rapidly. Special dietary needs were ignored and portion sizes became very small. Mother was told that she could opt out of meals and her rent would be reduced by $150....is that really all they budget for meals?? Particularly if you take into consideration the cost of kitchen and wait staff. Bus that took residents shopping was not handicap accessible so even those that could not climb the steps could not go. The friendly staff members (not management) were leaving quickly and newer ones were rude and inconsiderate. For the price we felt it was better if she moved back home - at least she still had that option!

Renters beware

I would never recommend Delta Retirement to my worst enemy, they don't do a good job, and I moved her out of there after Christmas. It's not handicap accessible, maybe new management, plus 3 meals a day.

Unlicensed facility - now I know why!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. In addition to Delta Retirement Center being an unlicensed facility, the administration is very rude and their quality of care is below par. They have such a large turnover of staff/caregivers and provide minimal if any training for them, therefore leaving the residents with long waits and wrong medication. The Director, [removed name], needs training in customer relations; she is untrustworthy, unwilling to assist and becomes very defensive when approached with concerns -- it is not a wonder there are so many vacancies there.

VERY POOR CARE

Unlicensed facility, no 24/7 nurse on staff, employees need not be experienced when hired, no CPR certification required. Very little training and education provided. In my opinion, very unsafe environment. Please research before you put a deposit down!

Unlicensed facility - Medical Mismanagement

The caregiving staff is not licensed, the training is minimal at least and they don’t follow state guidelines for administering injections with a qualified caregiver present. The management does not treat our parent with dignity or respect. The resident was given the wrong medication and the wrong dosage even though instructions were provided. The caregiver did not log or document what he/she gave resident which resulted in a 9-1-1 medical emergency and life threatening situation. I would not recommend this facility to anyone I love and care for. We removed our parents from this facility.

Cold people work there, rude, uncaring. Would never, ever refer or place a family member at this "community". Community means (or should mean): 1. a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. 2. a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. My husband and I noticed this facility was lacking in both of these areas. Shoppers beware: Beauty is only skin deep in this place. The book you "read" is not filled with the content you may "see" on the cover.
