It's a hard decision to move a family member from their home. My mom is 90, and last year I saw it was starting to get hard for her to take care of herself. I hired some care, but my mom lived 30 min. from me and I was traveling there all the time to make sure everything was good. She didn't like someone there and complained a lot. I realized this was not going to workout, she was not happy, and I was stressed out all the time. I checked out a few Assisted Living facilities, but when I went to Brandall I immediately felt a warm feeling when I walked in. Everyone was smiling and saying hello to me. There was music playing and the person at the front desk was so nice and cheery. I met with [removed], Executive Director and [removed], Director of Community Relations and was given a tour and a lot of information. I immediately felt this was the place! Fast forward a little, with a lot of help and guidance from [removed names] my mom is now a resident there now. I have been extremely happy now that my mom has been there since the end of June. She is still adjusting and has met a lot of friends. She tries to participate in some of the activities, and there is a full monthly calendar with a ton of nice things to choose from, thank you [removed]! Everyone works very hard to make the resident comfortable and happy. [removed names] have been a great source of strength for me in the beginning and continues to be now. They are truly wonderful! I talk to [removed], the Director of Nursing about different things that come up about my mom and she is always available for me, and I thank her! From [removed names], and all the hard working nurses and aids, Social Director, [removed], Food and Beverage, Engineering, Housekeeping, they are all amazing. Brandall has a lot of very talented employees that make the activities very fun. To wrap this up, I have found Brandall to be a wonderful Assisted Living home with a very professional, warm and loving atmosphere. Thank you, Brandall!!! [removed]

In 2014 when mom broke her hip and couldn't live alone anymore we needed to find an assisted living facility that was right for her. We toured 4 facilities but for various reasons weren't comfortable with any of them. Brandywine was the last one on our list. As soon as we walked in we knew this was the place for mom. It was not too big, not too small and was very homey. Mom has been there a little over three years now and is very happy. Of course she would like to turn back time and be in her own home but Brandywine has now become her second home. She now has a life being around people, participating in daily activities, and most important she is happy and safe. The nursing staff is fantastic and the people who run the daily activities are great! The entire staff is so friendly and really look out for mom. If any problems arise, the staff addresses them immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend Brandywine to anyone.

Great place the staff is cheerful and friendly. The care is the best around.. the place is like being at a country club!

My mother has been a resident of Brandywine at Howell since July, 2013. It was a very difficult decision for my family to make, but we knew that it was no longer safe for her to live by herself. We visited other facilities, but when we visited Brandywine, we just knew that this was going to be our mom's new home. Everyone was so welcoming to her and made her feel at home instantly. Because her Alzheimer's has progressed, we had to move her to the Reflections Unit at Brandywine. They made the transition so easy and she adjusted very nicely. We cannot thank the entire staff enough for the amazing care they give our mom on a daily basis. We definitely made the right decision.

Now that almost a month has passed since my father became a resident at Brandywine Living, I wanted to send a message to praise the entire staff for the wonderful job they do every day!! Every employee I have met has the best interests of each resident in mind and they approach their jobs with an open heart and a sincere soul! They treat the residents with total respect and enthusiastically greet residents, family and visitors too! My highest appreciation with the Wellness team, the concierge, the drivers, the dining staff and a special thanks to you ,the directors of such a wonderful staff! The grounds are beautiful. The memory care has a private enclosed garden and they are growing tomatoes currently. The garden has a table and chairs for the residents to sit. The unit is set up as a circle so the residents are always able to get back to their room. They offer daily activities. The caregivers are taking good care of mom and I would recommend this community.

I looked at several communities and felt The Hearth at Southbury felt like home from the moment I walked in the front door. [Removed] was the most informative of all the people we met with and seemed so sincere. The other residents all were friendly and a few invited me to see their homes. I am looking forward to moving to my new home.

We toured this community for care. I did not like that my mom would have had to be on the third floor. We did not see a menu. We know that they do have a lot of activities that would have been offered to my mom. We would recommend that other family.

I like that there are things going on all the time and I can socialize with others. The food is very good. I’m happy living here at The Hearth at Southbury.

Fabulous place!

When you walk into the lobby you are greeted very nicely. They offer many different activities all day long. They seem to engage the residents to participate In the activities. The dining area is kept very clean.The staff smile and appear very friendly and courteous! I asked to see an apt. there.It is very bright inside and kept immaculately!The apt I had seen had a kitchen,living room,bedroom and full bath. The residents that I got to see and speak with appeared to be very alert and friendly with one another. I truly liked what I had seen in all aspects. Very cheerful environment for elderly people that should not be living alone in old age. They are too lonely living alone! I recommend this assisted living facility highly. I am a caregiver.I only went there to visit an old friend/neighbor! [Removed]

Our mother moved from another assisted living facility where the service was on the decline. Brandywine was a great breath of fresh air. The entire facility is top notch. The staff is well managed and well trained. They are all truly caring at heart and it shows in the respect and love they show to all of their charges.

I have been on the search for the right place for weeks and seeing everyplace in Westchester and parts of NJ, I have decided on the Fountains at Rivervue for so many reasons. Having toured a couple times with [Removed] and even the administrator [Removed], I couldn't be happier with my decision to move my mom here. They have been so welcoming and honest from the beginning. None of that sales talk but honest and comforting conversations putting me at ease knowing my mother will be in great hands. The food has been by far the tastiest and a true restaurant experience. The staff are friendly and so helpful in all areas. Most importantly my mom is loving it more and more each day and throwing herself into activities, trips and building friendships with her neighbors. If anyone is like me and looking for the best place for their loved one, this is it. Thank you to the Fountains for truly making us all feel right at home.

This is actually a independent living residence, not an assisted living facility. The rooms are large and lovely, the rent, very reasonable, the staff seemed very helpful. It includes three meals a day, activities, and housekeeping, but there is no care included (personal laundry, med mgmt, etc.). I liked that the residents seemed more diverse than any other place I'd visited, but that probably has to do with the Queens location.

My father has lived at Brandywine Mahwah for over 18 months, first in Assisted Living and currently in the Memory Care unit. I visit once a week on average. The executive director, nurses and staff are at the same time professional and compassionate. They have anticipated my father's evolving needs and tailored his care to meet them. I can rely on the executive director, on-site nurses and visiting physicians to take or promptly return my calls. The facility is beautifully maintained, with amenities that include an exercise pool and an outdoor patio dining area. I particularly appreciate the special events, which allow me to visit with Dad in an atmosphere made festive by music, decorations and special menus. Despite his challenges, Dad recognizes he's well-cared for. Can't get him to move closer to me.

They are treating my husband very well here.

Having never visited an Assisted Living facility before, I had no idea what to expect. That said, 2 years later, I have been very impressed by the care, overall cleanliness, food, but most importantly the staff. They are engaged, encouraging, interacting and seem to be genuinely happy to be working there. They try to get the residents involved in their many activities which include exercise and art classes, music, movies, card and other games bingo, entertainment and special events and day trips. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are great. I highly recommend Brandywine.

When it became apparent that out mother could no longer remain in her home of over 30 years, my brothers, sisters and I began looking for the best place for her to relocate. We visited several assisted living residences near her home so she could stay close to her friends and activities. Ultimately, together with her, we chose Brandywine in Wall Township. This turned out to be a perfect fit for many reasons. Close proximity to my sister was indeed one but most importantly was how easily mom integrated into the residence and it became home. Because of the open embrace by the staff she never felt like “the new kid in school.” She participated in many of the activities and outings and made new friends quickly. As her health began to fail, we knew that she was in the care of compassionate professionals who would treat her with respect and dignity. Moreover, we knew that they would keep us apprised of any changes. My sister visited every day with her dog and they knew what that meant to my mother. When we called to check on her, we were never treated like we were inconveniencing anybody, it was more like our call and our mother were the most important thing at that time. In her last days, mom continued to be treated with dignity and respect by the entire staff. My sister and I too were treated with kindness and compassion beginning at the main lobby by the office staff, through the bistro and the dining room by the servers, and by all of the caregivers and nurses in the Refection’s unit. We NEVER second guessed our choice of Brandywine in Wall and are thankful that mom’s last year was spent in a clean, caring, compassionate home.

So far, Sunrise has been a good fit for my mother. I would recommend this community because they are taking good care of her and have good activities. My mother has partaken in exercise programs, singing, and music events. She is becoming more comfortable. Everyone has different needs and I feel that Sunrise fit hers best.
