I would give a 5 for all categories - very nice facility all around. I would definitely recommend it. The aides were great (one was not but she was dealt with immediately and let go). The physical layout, garden, rooms etc were really nice. Excellent front desk staff - they are friendly and welcoming.

1.Overall experience is really good. They care! It seems to be clean.Very nice, friendly staff. Quality of care is good. I think the meals are good. Mom was very thin when we took her there and she has gotten back to a good weight. They have wonderful Activity people and keep them busy. Even when Mom can't participate, they have her watch and feel a part of things. It's very expensive. We paid full price for 1 year and 10 months and then Mom had to go on Medicare this past May. I appreciate that even though she is on Medicare, the level of care has stayed the same.

In the two years my mother has lived at Brookdale, we have found it to be a warm and caring community of residents and staff in a pleasant setting. The staff have been helpful and responsive to any question or need we might have; contacting me periodically to see if I have any concerns.. Mom likes her rooms, finding them comfortable and clean, and she enjoys the walking path daily. Activities are offered for enjoyment as well as for physical and mental health. Brookdale Senior Living has provided a good life for Mom and peace of mind for me. We were blessed to find our place at Brookdale at a turning point in Mom's life.

I lived in another senior community for 10 years. I have been at Brookdale Oak Park a little over a year. I love that physical and occupational therapy is on-site. There are many areas of exceptional reviews at the community. I love the food. Another reason I decided on Brookdale Oak Park because of the location and my family lives near by.
