Brookdale

The staff at this community are attentive and most of them seem to care about the residents. They keep the community clean and they offer some activities. The food is very good and we like that they have a separate meal area for residents that are a little more active so they can make friends. I would recommend this community.

Really enjoyed our tours (went multiple times thanks to my OCD nature) and ultimately thought this was the best 'fit' for Dad. Lovely environs, good sized rooms, nice common areas, and close to many activities in Chapel Hill/Durham (not to mention only 15 minutes from my house). I've got high hopes he'll make new friends and enjoy his new home.

This community is over the top gorgeous. It is in a great location and the grounds are really pretty. The staff I met were friendly and helpful. This community was just a little out of our price range.

My mom has been here for four years. The staff is very respectful and attentive to her and other residents for all their needs. The facility has an atmosphere of home and is well furnished. Every effort is made by the kitchen staff to provide the residents with a variety of meals that also meet their nutritional needs. Special activities are scheduled throughout the month that keep the residents engaged. Management has an open-door policy to discuss any special needs or concerns that arise. It is my true belief that management and staff have only the best interest and well being of all residents. With the special needs and attention my mother requires, I am greatly relieved that she is at Brookdale where I know her needs are being met by attentive, friendly, and caring professional staff.

My husband has been having a hard time adjusting since his move in. the staff, from what I have seen, have been trying to help him get comfortable. When I go visit him, the facility is always clean and maintained very well. Everyone is very nice.

My loved one was only at this community for a short respite stay but ended up loving it so much that she is going to make it a permanent move. The staff have been wonderful to her and treat her just like family. She has had no complaints about the meals and has enjoyed the activities that they provide throughout the week. Overall we are very pleased and would defiantly recommend it to anyone.

The staff at Brookdale Denton South has been wonderful so far. My mother is still adjusting and mentions that she is not happy, that is her personal feeling. The facility is very clean and they are able to accommodate mom's needs well. We have decorated her room to feel more like home.

The caregivers take good care of my dad. Dad is in the memory care unit and the food is ok, however they do not offer them a variety of options. They do offer healthy meals and snacks. They offer some activities during the day. This community is in a nice area and close to family. I would recommend this community.

They were a pretty good community to see and I thought is was a good tour. The person who showed us the place was professional and able to answer any questions we had. I saw the staff who were great and helpful. While nothing was wrong with the community, we thought it was not a good fit for a mom. The rooms were smaller and a spacious room was desired.

I recently took a tour at this wonderful location Brookdale Lake highlands. I was greeted by warm and friendly staff, I was taken on a very detailed tour by the executive director who was so sweet and geniune she really cared about my concerns and wants for my mother, [Removed] was awesome. This location was amazing and organized they truly left me with one of the best experiences I've ever experienced. But pricing was a issue and we are working on getting through that mild stone so my mom can join this beautiful facility.

My mother was only at this community for a short period of time but we where very pleased with how things went for her during her stay. She always said how much she enjoyed staying there and would defiantly go back next time she needed too. They had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents and everything was very clean. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone interested.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and so far everything is going great for her. She has made a smooth transition and is comfortable in her new living environment. She has had no complaints about the food and enjoys the activities from time to time. I would have to say my favorite thing about the facility is the fact that the staff are responsive and very good at communicating with the family.

I had a good tour of Brookdale Willows Sherman. The facility was clean and maintained well. The lady that took me around was friendly and able to answer all of my questions. It was a good experience to tour.

This is a lovely community,and my mother is doing well since her move here. I know she is safe, and in good facility overall. The staff is great, they have been helpful. They are kind, and welcoming when I come to visit. The meals are good, and they have nice activities available for the residents. The community is well-kept, everything is nice, and clean. This is a community I would recommend, it is working out well for us.

Wife chose this spot, on her own (a most unusual occurrence) after we looked at several places, when she felt it was becoming too much for me to take care of her. (Talk about loving someone!!) She has been here 2 1/2 years, now. They have encouraged her to participate in all the activities, which she/we did, as long as she was able. At first, we would sometimes be out on our own, coming back as late as 10 PM. No problems. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful. I have eaten here often, and the food is uniformly good. Staff will always answer questions or find answers, though, with their work-load, it may sometimes take a while. Always willing to discuss medical stuff. Sometimes need to be prompted, to move to the next level of care. :-)

My mother has been at Brookdale for three months. The facility is not as new as others we toured and though mostly well kept, is a bit shabby. The grounds are cheerful though, with Sping flower beds that are well attended. Despite the older facility , we are very comfortable with our choice. The staff is very kind and attentive, and that has made all the difference. They know everyone's name and really try to attend to each resident's physical and emotional needs. Mom feels at home at Brookdale and I am sure it is due to the staff. The activities are much the same at all assisted living facilities. There were a few complaints about the food when mom first entered the new facility, but they have hired a new cook, and she and here dining companions seem very satisfied. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to have either a cat at the facility or to invite therapy pets to the facility.

The staff at this community take good care of mom. They are attentive and very accommodating. They have activities all the time. They have trips out and the activities director seems to be pretty good. The food looks good and mom seems to like it. This is a smaller community and it feels like you are at home. This is a lock down community and you have to be buzzed in. There is always someone around to assist you and I would recommend this community.

There have been ups and downs. It took a little acclimation time for him to get comfortable. We like the place and so does he. The only reason I didn't score them a 5 is some of the staff are not the most trained. I understand in this industry that is common.It's a difficult job and there is a lot of turnover. I am very comfortable with the care he gets here. The activities director is wonderful.You can tell they treat all the residents so kindly even if family is not visiting.

The staff at this community seem nice. My uncle seems to like the food and they do offer daily activities. They keep the community clean and they do his laundry. They have a good amount of male residents on his floor. We do have an aid coming into the community to assist him as well and the staff seem to work well with them.
