I would like to thank the staff at SILVERWOODS.... especially Bernadette!!!.....my family and I moved here at Slilverwoods Novemeber 1st 2016......We are so much, enjoying our occupancy here!!!!!!!!!!! This is the place to be if you are 55 and over Baaaaaabe...lol..Its very quiet...my neighbors are sooo kind and sweet....I think I could live here for many years to come!...Thanks so much...

The care services, meals and dining and activities do not apply because I am in independent living so I cook for myself; I don't participate in activities and no one is giving me quality of care. I am disappointed that there were roaches and an investation of bees to greet me upon moving in. There were many maintenance items to be addressed which they took care of in a timely manner. I would not give them a five for anything other than they are friendly. I understand after talking to other residence that this facility is under relatively new ownership and the quality of services in general has decreased. Would I recommend this place to others? I would say each individual needs to judge for themself. I feel I have had to lower my standards and expectations to continue living here. [name removed] was showing me the apartment she said the pet fee was [removed]$ for no matter how many pets you have after I moved in the story changed and it is [removed]$/pet. Big difference. Also I didn't get a copy of the lease until all the papers were signed.

Also, the exhaust fans in the bathrooms give me a headache. There should be a way to get bright light without all the noise. The gutters are not cleaned out. When it rains there are waterfalls off my roof. Does not feel like home. Too many rules and the rent increases EVERY year.

I can't speak for the other facilities here but the part I live in is just regular apartments (nice) beautiful quite most of the time , but I'm now hearing it's no longer 55 + Just regular apartments .Don't know about the nursing facility section , but there have been a lot of changes and more to come.....

We are happy with Victoria Commons. Of course there's always issues but they're not terrible. My mom as happy as happy as she can be. She loves the food lol.

Since I live 6 hours away from my brother, it's reassuring that I can get it touch with staff and they'll go and check on him and keep me informed.

While I am truly grateful to have found this place with your organization's assistance and for the ease of the transition with the help of the staff here there are some negatives. There is not much in the way of community as I feel I was led to believe or perhaps assumed. Many of the residents keep to themselves which is of course their prerogative but I feel more should be done to encourage community. There appears to be a clique mentality for those with the higher priced packages. Maintenance is performed adequately for the most part for individual needs. Yet, there is a fair bit of disrepair/ neglect overall structurally on the grounds, badly paved roads, and some things such as broken benches are simply removed without being replaced etc. This makes it feel a bit depressing.

My brother in independent living so he is in his own apartment and pays for additional onsite Wellness and bus trips. His unit was completely remodeled so very nice. He pays for individual onsite cleaning service but it is mediocre. Helpful staff especially onsite nurse. Usually the meals are very good and wide variety. they have a calendar full of activities as well as an excursion calendar for each month. The rental units so no big initial outlay and because they are recently remodeled appear updated w roomy layouts. Front and back door for each unit with patio. One story building so no neighbor up or down, just side to side. Surprisingly good option for over 55 independent living with key enhancements available (onsite Wellness, meal plan, excursions and activities.)

Nice staff, they care. The place could use some freshening up, but it is not neglected. Cut backs to transportation services is frustrating. Meal service is the only real complaint, in the year that we have been there they have changed policies not for the better. Crazy hours that the tenants have to conform to and they eliminated breakfast in the room like they used to do. They also won't allow food to go back to the room. Dinner is now at 4:30 and quite a few complaints.

We toured Silverwoods during our search for Independent Living for our loved one and it was a really good facility! It was very clean and they offered a good variety of activities.

I was disappointed to find out that one has to sign up for a whole year of extra services, like activities or meals. It would be preferable if a resident had an option of trying them out for a month or so. The cost is significant enough to make a difference.

We chose Silverwoods because of the value for the money, it was the best that we could find in the area. They are all in separate buildings, so any amenities such as the activities or the food, you would have to walk there if you cannot drive which poses some issues. They did just renovate the apartments so they are beautiful. All of the staff members are very kind and paying rent is very easy, so other than it being spread out it has been a good experience.

Very nice, however the person who assisted my son and I was a little overworked. She assisted in answering all our questions and there was a choice of either a dishwasher or a single washer and dryer combo in the kitchen. They do have laundry facilities in all sections. The rooms are great sizes. I have chosen the 2 bedroom two bath unit. They are great about move in date, as long as you give the go ahead and provide the information needed.

The community has gotten a lot better since getting a new director and he has done a lot to update the community spaces. The dinning room has always looked very clean and my mother lives in the independent living area and all those spaces there have been clean for the most part. The staff is very good and they really do seem to care about the residents. They are very nice to my mother and the nurse there has been very good as well. They have showed a lot of concern for my mother's well being. The activities have also been good. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic and ensuing community lock down, they have made a big effort to keep the residents occupied while they are social distancing. Before the pandemic, they brought in outside entertainment and music, had special holiday events, and offered of other activities should the residents decide to participate. During the pandemic, they have offered to bring the residents groceries every week at no extra cost. We definitely think Silverwoods is a good value for the price, especially considering the other communities we looked at and how much more expensive they were.

I enjoyed my tour with [name removed]. She answered my questions and gave me more information. The models and clubhouse I saw were nice. However, I don't think my mom would like the independent living of these apartments. If she were younger this would have be good for her.

When it was time for my grandmother to downsize, I was concerned with where would be the best place for her to move where she would be able to keep independence and at ease that she was safe. She moved into silver woods a little over two years ago. I am happy with our decision, she is happy there and the staff has been great to her especially [Removed]!

This is a nice community, and my mother in law is doing great since her move here. Everyone have been very kind, and welcoming. She is safe, and in good hands. They have a good staff, and they have been great to work with. All is well, and this a community I would recommend.

The facility itself is on a small scale. There are a smaller number of people here. It's not so busy and more quiet than busier retirement homes. They are happy with the care and the food. It is a little outdated looking, but I think they have plans to remodel. It needs it. The staff is friendly.

Visited Silverwoods this past weekend and got to see the various models and club house.
