This is a nice place! My mom is very happy here. They seem to be taking care of her very well. Communication with the family is great. The food is ok, good quality and variety for the most part. The staff is friendly and outgoing and very aware of things going on around them. They do offer activities, but not a lot of variety. They have a good amount, but seem to do those same things weekly. Overall, we're happy with it! I would recommend them to family and friends.

The fountains have been great for my dad and his situation. The administrators have been flexible, responsive and compassionate. The staff has been great! Wish there were more amenities but again not sure what my dad would use. Even the exterior amenities are lacking and they have beautiful grounds. I'm sure all of this would cost more - which would be fine w/us but not sure how others would be. The location, staff and fact that my dad is happy is what we care about. He's made friends. My dad loves the therapists - and like all places- staff is limited but they are accommodating his requests for more therapy. The place needs updating - which they are working on slowly. Food isn't great but tolerable for my dad- I would not do well on it but expectations are different.

Moving a loved one to Assisted living can be very stressful. Lindsey was so patient, understanding, and guided us through the entire process, she was wonderful! Every single employee (Director, Nurses, Techs, Activity, dining room, maintenance, etc.) with Independence Village seems to enjoy their job and treats all residents as if they was family. They offer many fun activities which helped mom to get introduced to other residents. I really appreciate how attentive to all my moms needs especially medical gives me peace of mind. BIG THANK YOU Independence keep being Amazing!!!

The culinary programs and resident experience-focused model makes Independence Village of Greenwood stand above all other senior communities! The quality of food and care gives me peace of mind knowing I chose the right community for my loved one.

They couldn't be nicer here. Overall, we're happy with this community. We've had a couple of small issues. For example, my loved one prefers to shower more than once a week. We requested that, but it doesn't always happen unless she gets a little more insistent about it. Then it gets done. They are losing a couple of good staff members, which is unfortunate because they're great. The variety of food wasn't great at first, but it has improved. Communication with the family is very good. They offer a variety of activities, but my loved one hasn't participated in them yet. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

This facility was brighter and cleaner than the other places we visited. They offer quite a variety of activities. They do housekeeping once a week. Value for the money I rated lower because they raised their rates a week before we signed up. A little high, but it is a great pace. I would highly recommend this place, I wish they had one in Dixon, Il.

The tour experience was fine but everyone puts their best foot forward in a tour. You never see the real picture until you have someone living there.

We had a very positive tour experience with The Fountains of Crystal Lake - we loved this facility. The staff were extremely friendly and responsive. For someone who needs minimal assistance, I think this would be a great place. My mom cannot handle elevators and long hallways, we more so needed a facility that was all on one level. But that was just our case, for others they seemed like they were flourishing and people looked happy. The only thing I did not like was the fact that there was no internet in the residents rooms. So we would have had to bring in our own. Other than that it seemed like a wonderful facility.

My brother was a resident of White Oaks of Spring street for a little over a year. What a wonderful place. He has passed now but he was very happy there. The facility was clean, layout was great for someone with memory issues. The staff was great. They are caring and patient. They treated my brother with dignity and respect. Food was good and he liked the activities they had. Really great place.

I toured this facility and they were awesome! The staff was pleasant. Facility was clean. Price was reasonable. We were very impressed with it. Ultimately, we did choose them because they weren't as close to home and I also felt my loved one wasn't independent enough for the facility. But I would definitely recommend them as an option to friends and family.

I have been a resident of Heritage Woods for 1 year. I am very pleased with the care I receive. I very much enjoy the other residents and the staff is wonderful. The food and activities are very satisfactory. We go on outings, we have entertainment come. We play games in the dining room and sometimes if our dietary manager has time she will join us.

The facility is clean other than when residents move in and out, but they quickly tidy that up. They keep the apartment clean for mom and do a deep clean once a week. Really the only thing she has to do is her dishes. Activities are ok, more variety would be great, but mom enjoys the activities. The food is very good, once in awhile there's something mom doesn't like but that's to be expected. The staff is very nice. If you're sick, they check in on you. If you miss a meal, they also make sure to check on you. If they know you're sick and not feeling up to joining in the dining room, they make sure to bring meals to you. I would most definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I have had a few friends and family reside at the Fountains - both in Assisted Living and Independent Living this is a low key place -family friendly as close to home like as you will find I am being sincere - this is a peaceful place

We have been quite pleased with the care and compassion the staff provide to our loved one at Grand Victorian of Rockford. Would like to see some better and healthier options on the food menu with more selections for residents to pick from. Fresher options would be nice. Residents seem active and happy all throughout the building and keep out of their rooms interacting with each other. Staff all around has been exceptional and truly care for each and every resident.

My mother lived there for three years and it was the perfect fit, I was always informed of any health issues and they would take care of all the Dr. visits and nursing care. My mother was very happy there with all the activities and kind staff that was there at the time The place was very clean and comforting for her, i thank the staff for being so on top of it while taking care of my mom

I never thought I would be comfortable leaving my dad anywhere. But he is very well cared for. And he even likes it there. He loves the staff. If I were looking for a job, I would want to work there. In other words, it' s just a nice place to be. I'm very comfortable with my dad being there, and I never thought I would find a place like that.

They keep losing the activities director. It has been good, and the experience has been decent. They are not very secure, and they have had people coming in and out, without proper security protocols.
