The care our loved one receives is great, she gets all of her meds, she gets her baths and hair done and her laundry done. We haven't been able to visit this community since March, but there is about four or five care takers that we absolutely love, they have taken amazing care of our loved one, they are just outstanding. The value is fine, its moderately priced. The personal care assistance's are great, however the house keeping is just okay, we have had to go there a couple times and clean our loved ones room because it was dirty and sometimes her clothes get mixed up with the other residents. The activities director is wonderful and they had a lot of activities for the residents to participate in before COVID. Since COVID the communication between the nursing home and the families is not that great. We are having to call and find out things, so it is greatly lacking. That is the only problem we have had with this community. The quality and variety of the food is not that good, it could use some improvements. They serve everyone the same thing regardless of their dietary restrictions and they get a lot of sweets. Every month we get medical bills that we get from her insurance that does not specify what the chargers are for. Especially since our loved one does not go to a doctors office, she uses the on sight doctor at the community.

I appreciate the staff’s knowledge of each of their residents. They do pay attention to what works and doesn’t work. If something in particular is requested, they’re open for the discussion. I think the administration and admissions has a depth of experience to know the level of care. I don’t believe [name removed]is a social worker, but she listens and gives great recommendations for support. She is very attentive to families.

Very impressive facility. The marketing rep did not know what I meant by “programming” until I explained it. However, it appears it is available. Pricing was competitive and the care appears to be excellent.

Exceptional staff that work well with home health and hospice staff.

I have come here for 2 weeks to care for my resident and the people have been very helpful. My resident is always clean and dry and his room is clean. They are quick to help me if needed.

Really liked this also, staff were nice and spike to a resident who loves it. The only thing that it is further from family.

I really like this community for my dad they are working with me to keep my dad healthy and happy. He just isn't eating the food so the staff helps encourage him to do so. The staff is nice and approachable and very patient with my dad. There are daily activities that they engage him on and he does enjoy them. The staff is really concerned and caring. The grounds are well maintained and is always clean inside. I would a recommend this community.

[Removed] is one of the best executive directors that have been at this place. I see her all the time, always with a smile on her care. She helps at with the residents and I have seen her work right alongside with the care givers. Things are really looking up around here.

My father lives at the facility and I am very impressed with Kelly and the staff she has hired. I am grateful for the care my dad receives [Removed] has turned the building around a whole 360°. My dad is happy am doing well. Thanks a lot!!

my Alzheimer's mom is 65 and very active and although this place is clean and [Removed] seems very dedicated, I don't think my mom would be a good fit here. The house is huge, but the property is very small. When I asked about physical activities for my mom (she still mows her own lawn!) the owner seemed a bit confuzzled as to what to do with her. A wonderful tour though

My brother has been here for 4 months and it seems like he has finally found a home. The staff understands his disease and successfully uses behavioral interventions to improve his behavior which is sometimes inappropriate because of his dementia. They do not seem to want to overmedicate the residents. The rooms are private and the house is small so that it is a "family" type atmosphere. The staff seems very willing to work with the family and tries to tailor each resident's program to his individual needs. The food is quite good. So far have been quite pleased here.

The environment was not as cheerful as other places I toured. The residents were all lined up in lazy boy chairs watching tv and it was dark. There is nothing wrong with that, it would be a good fit for someone else, b ut it was not for my mother. Everyone was very friendly.

Things are going to be expected so far. The transition has not been very easy for my mother in law. The community is very helpful, though, the staff has been very accommodating. The place is kept clean and organized. The meals, from what I have heard, are very good. The main reason we chose this community was because of its small, so she receives personal attention.

Buildings appeared newer and the grounds were nicely maintained. Staff were all very nice and informative. Available apartments were nicely laid out and very clean, including a very spacious 1-bedroom with balcony. The memory care accommodations were quite good, and weighing value for the money, I think this location would be the best option for memory care for my mom. I'm not sure if overall this location is the best fit for my mom for assisted living, but I think if I were the one in need of assisted living, this would be my choice.

They have a dedicate room for respite visitor, its like walking into a hotel. They have linen ready and a bedside table with lamp. It was designed for a short term care. Their respite room was on the ground floor, he community is not all on one level. They did not have courtyard for my mom. It still was my top choice because they understood respite care. We did not use them because someone was using the room already.

My parents seem to be really liking the variety of meals that are offered at this community, there are many healthy options as well as an alternate menu for the residents to choose from if they are dissatisfied with what is being served. I do think that there could be some improvements on the staffing , they often seem very overwhelmed and short staff.

We are very happy with the community at Brookdale Castle Hills. Our loved ones are doing fine since the move to the community. We are satisfied with the care that they are providing our loved ones.

The staff that offered the tour of Brookdale Castle Hills were very friendly and they were able to address all of my concerns. They seemed to offer a higher level of care for assisted living. The community was not as active as I was looking for.

I set up the tours for my mom and when she went here she was happy with the tour. They were able to let her see the community and she felt the director was good. My mother met some good people here. This was one of her communities to choose from.
