They need to make sure that this is a smoke free houseing. When I visit my mother, one of the halls always smells like smoke, then there is foul order in one of the halls.The cost is too high for what they get. Meals are not very good. not enough activies for them

I think they need to have more outside actives for the people that live here. Some of the halls smell, One hall smells like someone smoking. And its really strong. I think they need more chooses of food. Seems they have the same things alot and needs more seasoning for the meals.

They have no security, and things have been stolen from our loved one. No security, no help. The staff are friendly but not very qualified. The cost is good but the food is bad.

My mom is very capable of taking care of herself still, but she chose to sell her home and move because she wanted more socializing and community. Lockwood did not live up to promises. The food was so poor that very few people ate in the dining room so she wasn't having any socialization at meal time. The bus was broken and they never fixed it so no trips. After a sad year at Lockwood she moved to [community removed] where she has made many friends and enjoys continuous activities.

The facility is nice but repairs are not done on equipment that is broken. I have not had air conditioning for 11.5 weeks because my hvac system in my area is not working. I cintinue to pay the full rent amount. This also means the air circulating fan in the bathroom is not working. Lockwoods answer was to move to another apartment. That is not an easy task for a senior. The main elevator has been out of service for over 3 weeks. My washer and dryer in unit does not work . People smoke cigarettes and marijuana in their units although it is suppose to be a no smoking facility. I have not tried the food but it smells good. There are also many activities.

My mom is currently not happy at Lockwood. She is talking about looking around. This will be a definite burden on the family members that will need to move her and will be a financial burden for her. They are not maintaining the building. Example she cannot open some of her windows because they stick and they still haven't put the screen on her porch door. She would like to enjoy fresh air. They charge a high price for dinner but make them do grab and goes several times per week. She moved there because she wanted community, yet she is overpaying and eating alone. She wants socialization, but they no longer have many in house events and their bus is seldom in working order, so no field trips. Very disappointing. The existing staff tries hard and they are kind, but they are terribly understaffed. The director only comes in 2 or 3 days per week. My mom tried to voice her concerns but the director just labeled her as a complainer. My mom pays full price and is feeling like she is not getting what she pays for.

I was disappointed in Lockwood. I love the setting back from the main road and quiet. However, when we went to the front entrance for our appointment, the young lady at the front desk saw us, continuity talk on the phone for at least 5 minutes (she was 15 feet from us through glass) and she did not buzz us in. Finally, a resident wheeled himself over and let us in. She still didn't acknowledge us for several minutes until she asked if we were the 2 pm appointment. Not a good start. The manager was much more helpful. We had a tour. The facility was not cheerful and bright. The carpet needed cleaning. We met a lady while touring another facility. She was living at Lockwood but looking for something else because Lockwood was no longer American House and was starting to get run down.

Love this area. However with a monthly rate of more than $3000 we cannot consider this location. Lockwood also does not offer the amenities we are seeking. Not interested in Lockwood apartments.

Lied about improvements . Only clean carpet on the first floor. Elevators out so often stranding people dependent on them. Water and electricity issues. Food is terrible. The building manager is confrontational to residents. The quality overall is very poor as an experience. Moving out as soon as lease is up.

If you are present or past resident of this facility and have ever had a problem with bed bugs, please give a shout out my mother is having a problem and they claim she is the only one since [year removed]. I know tjhis cant be true or there is something shady going on.

Lockwood Of Lyon is by far the worst community I have ever lived in. Constant heating and cooling problems, staff is disrespectful to tenants, maintenance is horrible at best, staff will be untruthful about what tenants say, cigarette and pot smoking is constant, covid is just another day for them with zero communication to tenants and I will never be able to express enough how horrible this place is to live!

I would not recommend this place. There is no one there to help the seniors if anything happens. It is very hard to get in. No one in the offices!!!! Very unsafe!! My father was able to move in and he needs assistance

My mom lived here for a while and every phone call she brought up the director at Lockwood of Fenton. She is extremely unprofessional. When I called her to speak about concerns regarding my mother, she didn’t know who she was. I had to ask another worker, and they knew who she was right away. It also seemed like she treats other employees less than her. She is cold and she wants people to think she cares. However, she truly doesn’t care. She looks at the residents and sees her paycheck. My mother always commended housekeeping and maintenance. My mom never came down for food, but her friends would always commend the staff. Overall, the place would be extremely improved if the executive director were not in her position.

Save your money. Way over- priced. The management needs to be totally replaced. They never give out price lists/costs and even when quoting prices there a lot of double talk. They serve dinner for lunch and lunch for dinner. The executive manager cites..corporate makes the decisions but going online you can never find a phone number or board of directors. The medication team is complete chaos and residents are being medicated without taking blood pressure readings and don't have enough staff. Wake up CORPORATE..Get rid of manager/cook..

Kitchen food is terrible! The new executive director [name removed] is awesome and trying to get the staff to make meals from scratch. They keep taking stuff away from us and rent keeps going up. The leasing person cant say her name right starts with a [name removed]? She has no personality. I dont know how she has a job. [name removed] s all over the place cause there is no staff. She does a great job. And always makes us feel appreciated and cared for. Housekeeping is friendly. Neighbors are also kind. People just fant afford to live here anymore with these prices

This place will promise the moon before you move in but will NOT deliver once you are in. Med team promised they would add more staff of mom needed it, medications were consistently over an hour late In apartment meal delivery is a joke Cold an hour past meal time and NEVER a full meal we finally had to go to meals on wheels!! I would look anywhere else unless your people can take care of themselves

Be careful, most of what they tell you to get into your parent's bank account is untrue. They ask you to give them $100 to hold the apartment for 7 days at which time you are to sign a contract and pick a move in date. This, again, is UNTRUE! Instead they start charging you the day BEFORE the meeting date as opposed to the move in date, and the Manager, [name removed], tries to go through the contract without allowing the tenant to read it. He charged us a "pro-rated" rent for 10 days that my mom would not even be moving in, he makes verbal promises which the Contract states otherwise, like, rent being due on the first, but promises that they won't take it until the 5th, while every time the rent is not paid you are charged a late fee and risk being evicted after 3 months and $75 per month in late fees. They tell you the VA will pay for part of the payments, when the VA states they won't. That is why they want you to pay them and you collect from SS and VA. I'm sorry I met these people.
