Merrill Gardens

There are so many things to like about this place. I will say that my wife and I love living here at Turners Rock. We especially love the dining room and the staff there. They have dining open from 7-7 and that is really great. The food is VERY good and even my kids come and join us and love it. This is just a very friendly and outgoing community.

The most wonderful thing about Turners Rock is the people who are here. The staff of workers really care about you and every resident. They provide great activities for us to do as we choose things from exercises, games and outings. The residents care about and socialize with everybody and are very helpful to each other. We really are like one happy family. Also the food is spectacular and our housekeepers are amazing and keep our rooms looking so clean and smelling so good. Everything here is just wonderful.

My experience here at Turners Rock has been the best experience of my life, at this stage of my life. Spiritually, just when you think you have it all figured out you have to be open to another chapter. Instead of this being the end of my life, this is like a new beginning and an new page in my chapter of life. When I think about the staff here it makes me want to cry. They are like little Angles. The kitchen staff is incredible and they take so much pride in their jobs. They give the utmost respect and care. There is no other place in Springfield like this. The administration staff here is top notch and they are always willing to go above and beyond. I challenge everyone to come in and give them a try because you will grow to love them and feel the genuine love and care they all have for everyone. Last thing- they don't work at being nice, they are all just really nice people. I honestly just can't say enough good and great things about this place. I am just so grateful to live here.

I have lived here for 15 months and I enjoy my life here because my apartment is sunny and large. I feel safe and everything I need is here. The food is plentiful and there are so many choices. I never have to go to the grocery store. This is the bonus: the residents here are so kind and friendly. There are also so many activities and the I have the opportunity to laugh everyday and really enjoy my life.

The staff care is excellent. The med techs are very good at delivering medications. The activities are varied and creative. Our apartment is large and bright. It is cleaned once a week. The chef routinely asks for feedback from the residents about food, which is good.

My wife and I moved to Merrill Gardens (MG) at Wrights Park at the beginning of[Date Removed]. We enjoyed our spacious 2-bedroom apartment as well as meeting lots of new people who are all friendly, interesting, and supportive. Our two dogs, who had been country dogs, adapted to apartment living quickly and love their walks in the park. When my wife’s dementia worsened, we had to transition her to the memory care unit, Garden House (GH), the staff made her move easy. And the ongoing care is first rate. After her initial adjustment, she has a great relationship with her fellow residents and she loves her caregivers. We have a wonderful staff here at MG that includes maintenance who provide knowledgeable and timely service. Our two activity directors make sure there is something fun for everyone every day, whether you like games, crafts, or interesting outings. There is a half hour exercise program every day and a movie every night in the theater. And did I say that the food service is

Overall 5 stars. The staff are attentive and respond quickly to requests. Food is good. The 2/2 apt is a good size for a couple. Plenty of activities and the overall cleanliness of the facility is very good. I think their pricing is very reasonable.

I like having lunch dinner or breakfast at any time between 7 am and 7 pm each day. The young food service needs improvement. It takes about 20 minutes to get served. yes I could recommend Merrill Gardens to others. Also I would like to clarify my comment about food service. The comment should read : the work performance of new hired food servers needs improvement. It sometimes takes 20 minutes to get served by the younger staff versus 10 minutes by the older food servers.

The staff have been very responsive to my concerns and questions. The facility is kept clean, and the food is quite good with lots of choices. I would recommend them to others who are searching for senior living for their loved one.

Truewood is beautifully kept. My mother enjoys participating in bingo, crafts and chair Zumba. She also participates in their weekly outings. She says the food is good and appreciates the chef personally describing each entree. The staff is very personable, caring and attentive. She loves her apartment being on the ground floor with a patio that has landscaping along it. The size is just right for her. She's added a microwave, George Forman mini grill, toaster, coffee maker and minicrockpot as she adjusts to not having a full kitchen, even though her meals are included.

The employees have been , helpful , caring , and all together great . The facility is very beautiful , and clean. The apartment is a perfect size and everyone is always so helpful and in great attitudes.

The eating area is nice, decent food. It's a mix an assisted and senior living people, more of an atmosphere of like a [name removed] than just a quiet depressing assisted living dining area. He also has an option to eat in a smaller food area close to his room if not wanting to go to tge main area. They've had construction going on in the past year putting new windows in and re-do of the hallways. It's getting there. The workers are all nice, good and nursing. They have pt/ot there and he's been doing that lately but he's not interested in activities other than watching his tv.

I love it here. The care staff takes great care of me, the food here is fantastic, my apartment is fantastic. They have happy hour 3 time a week were I get my favorite scotch! I'm glad i live in Merrill Gardens.

When I had an emergency and needed my INR machine checked the marketing [name removed] and active assistant [name removed] went above and beyond to make sure I got to the place I needed to be and picked me up. I appreciated the time they took to make sure I had what I needed.

All the care staff and all the staff here is wonderful and very helpful. The also very concerning on how you are feeling. I also love that they offer outings such as grocery shopping and restaurant outings.

I moved to Merrill Gardens shortly after I lost my husband. I could see that it was lovely, but I didn’t know if I would fit in if I would enjoy if it would meet my needs. It is a great place to live. Merrill Gardens at Wright Park has everything you would want. The apartments are lovely well maintained. The staff is like family. I think they are exceptionally good. The food is well prepared and you can eat at any time from 7 to 7. There are good activities and fun trips. The atmosphere is good. There are movies every night and fun parties. Best of all are the people who live here doesn’t take long to fit in and everyone has been kind and welcoming. I believe that this facility is the best of the best. Come along and see you won’t be disappointed.

Really nice living conditions. Nurses and staff really friendly and courteous. Always someone available to answer any questions that may come up. I would recommend it

Definitely 5 stars. The staff are great very friendly and helpful. There are many activities to choose from. The apartment size is perfect. I am very happy here.

Merrill Gardens is a welcoming and warm place. The General Manager and the administration staff is very warm and helpful. I feel that this is a real community and the administration sets the tone. I love the idea of the all day dining, you can have a meal or snacks at any time. I love the location of Merrill Gardens, it is within a residential area, surrounded by parks, trees and walking paths. It is very convenient to everything.

[name removed] was very helpful before move in and after. My uncle loves living there and everyone has been very welcoming. I would recommend them to others who are searching for a community.
