Brookdale

I toured Brookdale West Orange during my search for an Assisted Living facility for my loved one. This facility was great! It had a nice homey feel and everyone was friendly. The cleanliness was great.

In May of 2022 my sister's Alzheimers meant that she needed to go into Assisted Living in the Waxahachie area. Since I live in another country I had no idea which facility to choose for her. So I researched online and called friends for suggestions of where my sister would get the best care. Brookdale Waxahachie was the name that kept coming up across a whole range of inquiries. Although it was not the most modern facility I moved my sister there. This turned out to be a great decision because my sister loves it. She is involved in the activities on offer, has made friends, and tells me the food is really good! Also, the staff keep me informed if there is anything she needs. As you can imagine, it is a HUGE relief for me to know she is not only safe, but thriving in her new home!

Our loved one was only there for a few months and it was during COVID so it is hard to really say what we liked most about the community - he did not go into the dining room or do any of the activities. However the staff members were great and the apartment was really nice!

Brookdale Southpoint is a 5/5 on all counts. The staff are very caring and friendly. And they've been helpful with getting information to and from medical professionals.

Great facility with great people running it! Very caring and competent! Everything is working out well! The other thing that stood out was the people that worked there and the residents at the facility all seemed to be glad they were there! They handled administrative things like filing claims for her long-term health care insurance, which can be very subjective as to whether she meets the qualifications. The handling of the insurance claim was something I was not looking forward to dealing with. They advised me they would handle it, so it took a great deal off of me.

They are a very welcoming community and father in law is fitting in nicely.

We toured Brookdale Wayne AL/MC when searching for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. The facility was very nice. The staff was also very nice. It just wasn't the right fit for my loved one. We decided to continue on with our search.

We have had a great experience with Brookdale Monument Valley Park. The staff is exceptional and caring. I truly feel that my mother-in-law is arguably getting the best care of her life.

Brookdale Fayetteville is the best place for my mother. Their program and concept is exceptional. The staff from director down is great. Everyone knows my mother and her family by name. Brookdale is struggling with staffing like every other business. They are currently without a program director which is hurting the quality of their activity program. My mother is healthier because she is getting quality food and hydration. She is much stronger than before going to Brookdale when she lived on her own. Great experience to this point.

5 for all categories! Everyone is so friendly and supportive-very many different activities such as art, bingo and bridge. Movies nights etc. And even a resident run library. My mom has a very nice sized one bedroom apartment that fits her needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Foundation House to others looking.

I would tell others that the staff here really bonds with the residents, always going the extra mile for them. I would say that the staff majors in caring. The facility offers 3 different sizes of rooms depending on what you may need. The cable is available, but not much else.

I would recommend touring because the staff is really great and it a good atmosphere. I have already recommended it to friends! The staff was welcoming when my brother and I visited. The director took her time with us and answered all of our questions. The place was clean and cheery. It was in Derby.

Wish we had moved my father in law here sooner. Very homey ambience and caring staff. Good and plentiful food. Could have used another caregiver or 2 for quicker response to a button pushed. Very clean, great location, easy access without cars to stores. He didn't participate in any activities, but there were plenty and they tried to encourage him. They fully celebrated holidays with staff dressing up. Good value for the money I think. He was 96 and fell when trying to go to bathroom alone. Essentially broke his neck and 2 ribs and died 2 days later. A blessing at that point given what he would have had to endure had he survived. Thank you for your help.

It’s never easy looking for a facility for a parent or loved one, but we found Brookdale to be a gem! From the moment we made the decision to move my mom every leg of the journey has been made easy by the staff at Brookdale in Sarasota. We received our initial tour with [name removed] and every time a question pops up she was there to answer it. I can’t say enough about the staff, always pleasant, always available and we couldn’t be more happy with our decision. If you’re looking for a place for your family, this is truly a great facility with a caring staff.

I had the opportunity to visit Brookdale Bend and meet with their new Executive Director and their Marketing Director. They were very welcoming and showed me the community. The residents to whom I was introduced seemed to be happy and appeared to be engaged in a variety of activities. The rooms were larger than I anticipated. The building as a whole has a home-like feel from the moment you enter the door. I enjoyed my visit.

A year ago, I moved my mother to Brookdale Monrovia. I wanted a place where she would be safe and also have a social life. My decision was not easy but after touring the community and meeting with [name removed], Executive Director, and [name removed], Activity Director I new this was the perfect place for my mother. They both answered all my questions and concerns. I never felt pressured. I was very impressed with all the services they provide for their residents. They welcomed my mother with open arms. Her primary language is Spanish and I was worried that my mother would not feel comfortable because the community has few residents that speak Spanish. But I felt at ease knowing that majority of staff speak Spanish fluently. I always wanted my mother to live out her golden years in a safe and happy place. Brookdale is the place!

My mother became a resident in April of 2022, and neither her or I have any regrets. Brookdale has become her home now and she enjoys living there, and getting involved in all of the many daily activities offered to for residents. My mom especially enjoys the weekly excursions, offering a verity of activities and destination. Mom has become an active member of the community, and is always bragging about how welcoming the residents are and how personal and loving the staff is. They call her by name and are a part of her family now.

I highly reccomend this facility . My sister lives there and gets the best of care . The employees have a great attitude which to me means they enjoy and value their work . The residents are all very friendly as we greet them in passing . The facility is immaculate and welcoming . My sister is very happy there and enjoys the activities . I have been in plenty of facilities, and most of them are very depressing. Brookdale is a refreshing haven. The staff takes good care of my sister if there’s any problems and our family feels good knowing they are there for us

At 101, mom was living alone with a twice a week caregiver. She wasn't getting the social interaction she needed. Every day I would wait for her call or her email telling me she was ok. When I suggested assisted living she said "I'm not going to one of those places". Having already visited Brookdale Monrovia, I knew that if I could get her there, she'd want to move. I showed her the online videos and she agreed to a tour. We toured the community and stayed for lunch. By the time we got home, she was sold. Everyone fussed and fawned over her, which she loved. She's happy with the people, the activities and the food. She's made friends. Every day she gets up and gets dressed -- no more sitting around in her housecoat. I no longer hear "I'm alone so much" and I know she's safe. It's a "win-win".

My family and I had a great experience with the community. The staff are kind, understanding, and knowledgeable. Everyone is friendly. The community is in a great location. There are meals and activities provided to the residents. Overall, this is a community we would recommend to others for their loved ones.
