Brookdale

Our family had an in person tour and we thought Brookdale was a great place we have a great tour experience. We really liked how diverse the community was, but what we think detoured our loved one from picking this community was the apartments being a little smaller and the location being a little further away. However if our loved one ever had to move we would encourage him to come back and check out Brookdale.

I haven't found another facility that rates as high and brings as much comfort. They go the extra mile. They check up on the residents. They call when you're not there. Cleanliness is superb in all areas, indoors and outdoors. They have had a lot of turnover and therefore some inconsistencies, but we've had a good experience overall.

It was a nice place, and the residents were interacting very well but the price wasn't within my budget.

Moved mother inLaw in on Sunday. 1st day she met her neighbor who knocked on door with and intoducion to [name removed]. Mom wanted lunch with the family but ate dinner with [name removed]. Such a lovely lady. Place is extremely clean. No smells what so ever. Staff is always helpful and pleasant. As a CNA in Illinois since 2010 I’m glad to say I’m eager to see if I can get a job there. It’s like ONE big family. There’s not one sad face in there. Unlike the home I worked in for and a half years. Call buttons are answer quickly. Mom loves it. She was quite apprehensive in going. I’m sleeping well at night knowing she gets the kindness that her son and I have given her for past 3 years. Due to a recent stroke I needed time to heal snd therapy which would be difficult to take her with. I DEFINITELY recommend this place as I am calmer snd dm taking time to heal myself. Honestly I don’t think mom will want to leave such a great place that has fun filled activities during the day which keeps her mind going

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked everything about Brookdale and what we saw but at the time our loved one needed a place they just did not have availability.

What really impressed us and what really stood out to us right away is the cleanliness of the community and how everything is updated. Based on our experience we would recommend Brookdale Medi Park West to other families.

My loved one loved the food. The staff worked really hard, espeically the home healthcare aides. It was a really great and amaxing eperience. I would totally recommend.

Our loved one is very happy here. I would recommend them to family and friends.

We toured with Brookdale Mt. Lebanon and had a great experience. This was my first choice out of the 3 that we looked at. Unfortunately they did not have the staffing that they needed to accept my dad and his care needs.

They've been very good for us. Any issues we've had we've been able to work worked through with them. After 90 days, I really believe they care, from the janitorial staff on up to the director. They know my name and are very friendly. They're accommodating when I bring something to their attention. Even in an emergency we had, I think they rallied and did a great job in an unfortunate situation. They seem to have a lot of activities going on. I don't have any complaints.

I have been impressed with a couple tours that I did at this community for my parents. Very cleanly and smaller community, which I really liked. It smelt great compared to other places that I had toured. They have gone out of their way to stay in touch with me and are always engaged with their residents. I feel such a connection with the staff there and they even let me speak to a couple resident's family members. When the time is right, I will for sure have my parents move into this community. Thank you for a great experience so far!

We toured with Brookdale Highlands and it is an absolutely fabulous place - if you can afford it. It is so beautiful and all of the people we interacted with could not have been any friendlier. The reason we did not go with this facility was because of the price and the fact that they do not accept Medicaid.

I wish my loved one moved here. They have a specific dementia unit, and it's a nice community. Also, they have a beautiful lake.

My mother was super depressed and angry before we brought her to Brookdale. So she was angry the first few weeks she was there. But the staff kept trying with her, and now she's happy and thriving. She's interacting with people and has settled into the routine. She enjoys the food. The staff really try to keep the residents interactive with other people and with the activities, and I really appreciate that.

The staff is always great. The food looked great. They were always friendly, and were able to meet the needs of my loved. They always contacted me if they had any questions. They were an organized group of people, and knew what they were doing. Overall, they did a good job.

We really liked the overlook of the community and the staff have been nothing less then welcoming. They have been so helpful, accommodating and responsive since our loved moved in, they just gave us a great feeling from the get go. The only reason the meals and dining services get a 4 out of 5 is because they don't really have any alternative food options for those with dietary restrictions it is all pretty much generic meals. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones

Our experience at Brookdale Wayne has been great. The interaction with every staff has been a positive one. The Director has always been available and responsive to our needs. Nursing team has prompt action to requests. I feel that my mom has everything she could possibly need and it is overall quite affordable, especially when compared to some other places we looked at. I will say, it was not easy to pick a place but I feel we made the right decision by far.

I can’t share enough positive things about Brookdale Wayne. Their staff is responsive to anything we ever need. The care is the reason we decided on a place for mom, and the care at Brookdale Wayne is truly excellent. When looking for a place for my mom, I wanted a place she would feel comfortable and at home. From the sales experience, through day mom arrived, and everything since, has been a great experience. Sure there are some bumps in the road that were part of adjusting and learning but one thing I can say for sure; mom at home was unsafe. Mom at home with help was not enough help, I can sleep better at night knowing there are staff there to help 24/7, and I have some more balance in my life! I would highly suggest Brookdale Wayne for your family.
