Brookdale

This was a great community. My loved one was able to get into a larger room at another community.

I've only been here a year, my spouse passed after only being here for a month. Brookdale understands me; my husband had stage 4 cancer and his doctor gave him up. We had to sell our house and find somewhere to go. I'm appreciative that Brookdale accepted him in that state. We had wonderful hospice care, they handed it very well. Because of that, I've haven't met many residents, but I'm involved in a lot of organizations in the town of Glen Ellyn. I've been attending the trips, but I haven't quite jumped in all the way so I don't know everyone's name just yet. The food is very good and I really like my apartment. It's a spacious 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom with a living area, kitchenette, giant windows with a lot of natural light, and I have an outside deck - I can't ask for more! I go on, and participate in as many activities as I can. I suggest activities to [name removed], our program director. She takes my suggestions and we've been able to visit art exhibits, art installations, etc., while still being mindful of those who are in walkers or with lesser mobility. I would recommend Brookdale, and I just had a couple from my church move in. They gave me a big award, took my picture, gave me a bouquet of flowers, and a referral bonus which will be deducted from one month of rent!

Excellent experience. I needed assisted living placement for my sister. I live 1200 miles away so I tried to do as much preparation as possible remotely, before traveling. The placement team at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs did a fantastic job! We toured the home virtually and had frequent communication with sales and clinical staff. With placement arranged, I traveled to transfer my sister to her new home. Unfortunately there were complications and delays but [name removed] and the clinical staff went above-and-beyond to make the schedule work. I finally brought my sister to her new home at 7PM. [name removed], very thankfully, doesn't punch out and go home at the end of the day. This day and frequently throughout the admission process, she answered texts and provided information that was necessary to make the transition process successful. The clinical team went out of their way to get my sister settled in at 7PM, finding some dinner for her and working diligently to get her medications in order. Throughout the process of moving my sister into her new home, I encountered, spoke with or witnessed other residents in the home and their interactions with staff. Everyone appeared very well cared-for and happy. I'm very pleased with the facility and the entire care team at my sister's new home.

We LOVED Brookdale Claremore. The staff were amazing and the special that they had going on at the time made it very tempting. The staff to this day still reach out to us and offer to sit down and give us any advice or support that we may need, they go above and beyond. We did not move mom here at the time because the size of the apartment we wanted was not available. We still keep a very open mind about maybe moving mom here if things do not work out where we are now.

[name removed] is very knowledgeable of what o expect at Brookdale assisted living community. She was very kind to go over all the amenities that the community offers. Introduced staff members that would be caring for our loved ones. She's done an outstanding job of what Brookdale offers to residents. So far I am pleased that I picked this facility to care for my mom. The staff is wonderful here.

This is a wonderful community with a wonderful tour guide. My loved one wanted another community, and my loved one didn't see enough residents during the tour.

It's a smaller community, and I really feel like you get more personalized care. I think more of the staff knows each of the residents. It's a nice facility with a beautiful courtyard. And I appreciate that my loved one has her own room with a little living area and a private bath. That makes it fell a little more like an apartment vs a hospital room.

I'm just a friend of a resident, but everything has been working out wonderful. The very first thing we noticed when we stepped was the cleanliness and the community was odor free. Everyone is very friendly, nice, and helpful. My friend is adjusting to Brookdale Norman wonderfully.

My wife came to Brookdale Monroe after moving out of a different facility and this community has been a great experience so far. The people really treat us well which we appreciate. The meals and dining service has been great and the lady who is in charge of all the daily activities that are schedule through the week has done a great job.

I like Brookdale Loma Linda; it's been good and the community is clean. My loved one is getting really good care there.

The people over at Brookdale West Boynton Beach were WONDERFUL and really seemed to be on top of things. The facility itself did look older and had some wear and tear so they could use some updates. They did have a really nice outdoor terrace to sit at. We did see some residents in the activity room that had feeding tubes and we discovered that my loved one was just not ready for this type of care yet.

Our mom has lived at Brookdale for 2 years. She’s happy there and well taken care of. We are especially grateful to the nursing staff who are exceptional. We are always greeted with a smile, and feel Mom is treated with dignity and respect.

This was my first visit looking at places for my mom. The feeling of home hit me at the door. The tour, the explanation of service, it all brought a peace of mind. I don't think I need to visit any other community. This feels like home. Thanks to [name removed]

Mom is in memory care and is very physically active. Staff interacts with mom and knows her routines. Each person (staff) shows care, kindness, and consideration to mom. They treat her like family and not just a resident. She has done well here.

My grandmother lives in Independent Living at Brookdale Corpus Christi and I wouldn't have her live anywhere else. She's happier than I have seen in ages. The staff are so caring and accommodating, the food is great, the activities are wonderful, she feels like this is home and a part of a community.

My dad was in memory care unit and my mom currently in assisted living. Outstanding Director and Staff. Caring and engaged. Facility clean and bright with lots of plants and light. Food tasty and ample portions. Highly recommend.

My sister and I were put into a difficult position of quickly finding an assisted living facility for our elderly parents after our mom fell and broke her hip. In touring the smaller-sized facility of Brookdale – Georgetown, we were happy with how friendly and helpful everyone was! We will be forever grateful to the Brookdale staff for their continued kindnesses to our parents. Brookdale offers fun social activities and special holiday events for their residents to help develop a sense of community. Any change to a person’s lifestyle (either young or elderly) is just plain hard and no place is absolutely perfect, but the staff’s smiles and continued compassionate care in responding to our parents’ needs has helped lessen the hard adjustment period. Their genuine concern and care for their residents is greatly appreciated. Brookdale’s management and staff work hard to keep their facility looking beautiful on the outside and very well-kept and smelling clean on the inside. Thank you!

This has been a very good experience. I have enjoyed my stay here, and I believe I have made a wise choice. The staff are very helpful, and they have patience to answer our questions. There are three meals a day and a dining room for the residents to eat in. The community will deliver the food to the resident's room if requested.
