The transition to move here was just so smooth compared to what I experienced elsewhere. When we brought her in I told them exactly the situation and they were absolutely wonderful to her, there was no difficulty at all. But she refused to see the doctor here, he was not very professional. He would just barge in on her at anytime without a nurse, very unprofessional. The nurse there said she was trying to find another doctor that would come in house but was having a hard time. She just loved the caregivers, they were just wonderful to her and would tell her what medications she needed and when she was getting low and then order them for her.

He's currently under an 18 month discount so he has 1000 off a month so it's a wonderful value. He's in independent living, the people are so accomodating. At first I thought they were just saccharin sweet and I was waiting for the other shoe to fall but the more I see them the more I like them, I think they provide a hell of a service. They provide quite a few activities and they encourage him to participate even though he was reluctant at first. They were persistent with him and getting him to particiapte, they didn't take no for an answer. There's a Friday night mens group, they kept encouraging him to go and now it's something he looks forward to. It was the first place we looked at and we just liked what we saw, there is a complete lack of odor, it just smells clean in the whole building.

It was wonderful, we loved it, they loved it. Both of my parents were there, they were taking care of dressing changes everyday and plus they had a third party giving insulin injections. Julie, she was fantastic, she did everything I asked her to do, I think if I asked her to do a jig in the middle of the freeway she would have done it. She helped us along because we had never done this before. They actually had an aid that came in and helped my mother bathe everyday. Its fantastic, I was glad to give them money every month and I knew she was getting care and they were watching over her.

Really liked Sterling House. Excellent security. It felt more like home to me. Smaller space to navigate if in a wheelchair or walker. Nice common space, dining room, library, sun room, enclosed patio, activity room. Beauty shop and spa room available, too. Apts. were small, but how much room is truly needed? Different levels of assistance to choose from were a plus for our family. Opportunity for outings was greater here than at Sedgwick Plaza. It's location is perfect for our family, too. Food was good. But, something aobut it just didn't work for Mom. Going to talk it up to her.

I think it's lovely. It didn't work for us but they're a wonderful community. They're really hands on and the food is fabulous. We placed my father there hoping he would have VA assistance and that still hasn't come through so I had to remove him from there, very regretfully. They're clean, conscientious, secure, and interactive.

It is a very expensive community and if you would like to live here you need to have strong financial backing. They categorize residents by care levels of which each level is about $400. The bad thing about these levels is that they are not clear defined in black and white; they will access your loved one and then place them in a level. Their contract is also very one sided, they will work with you but they are written to benefit them. Overall the community is excellent and I would highly recommend the community to anyone that has the financial backing to afford it.

They have different movie nights and bingo and some other activities like exercise programs. There are lots of options. My father is doing real well there. They're very helpful and very accommodating for any of his needs. The food is really good. I haven't heard anything negative from him. It's more of independent, apartment style living with additional assistance available.

My parents are very happy at Hawthorne and I am too. They are very attentive. They truly go out of their way to make sure all their needs are met. It's the little things like mom and dad were at a doctor's appointment. The driver from the community dropped them off and was waiting in the office for them when they were done. They really go the extra mile. Maybe just the food could be improved but other than that my parents have been blessed. I don't have to worry.

They treated our loved one very well. The staff was friendly and the community is a nice size, which allowed the staff to get to know all of the residents very well and actually interact with them. We were very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.

We are 100% pleased. It's excellent and it's met all of my father's needs. We are very happy with it.

She was interested in Wynwood and then she decided after a lot of consieration that what she currently has with her apartment was everything she needed and decided to stay where she is. We looked at everything and she got down to where she was planning on moving but decided against it. I really like Wynwood, it was probably my top choice and it was really close to our house which was really nice and it was more reasonable I thought that the other ones. A friend recommended them to us, her mother is there, and our loved one is needing additional care, but she weighed all of the pros and cons and with Wynwood you have to pay additional for medication administration and additional care. Where she is now, her expenses are really low so for right now thats working for her.

Great community; excellent tour with Colleen. Trying to stick closer to Hudson area, though, so this is in our portfolio as a backup.

They're undergoing a new face lift out in front. Before it looked dated a little bit. I don't know what their final plan is going to be but they are updating it. I think my dad is doing as well as can be expected. He doesn't get involved - he's not a real social animal. He'll be 93 and he's pretty set in his ways. He doesn't really give them a hard time but he does complain. Like the food...it's not mom's cooking, you know? But I've eaten there on several occasions and I think it's good stuff and so does the rest of the family. Grand Court was able to provide the care we needed and the value was better than most we visited.

I noticed that my mother's room wasn't quite as clean as I would have kept it but maybe she was telling the not to come in. It was just little things. The external part of the facility is always beautifully kept! They're all very compassionate and don't argue with her. If she says the sky is purple the say how pretty it is which is good because she gets more confused and frustrated if you try to correct her. They have a doctor that visits the site and an in house pharmacy. I don't live in the same community so it's been really nice to have those things taken care of. They have an on-site beautician as well. It's been great all in all.

Very impressed. Beautiful facility. Wonderful amenities. Thought given to construction and layout to best-suit residents in wheelchairs and scooters.

It's very clean and very friendly. I think the value is great. Of course, there are only 40 rooms there so it's small and more personal. My mom and dad are on level one care so all they get is the meals and medicine - it's all been great so far. They had a guy sing and play guitar and my mom like that. They said he's going to be back in the middle of the month. My mom is looking forward to that. It's perfect right now.

We're really happy! The have ice cream socials, gospel things, trips to different restaurants, popcorn and movies. They do a number of different things. The food has been very good. I've had lunch with my mother a couple of times and it's all been good. She likes it there. We're very happy overall.

The Hallmark does a great job with activities and the transportation of the residents. The staff is helpful, friendly and very accommodating. This is a good place for people who have companionship and transportation needs. The main reason our loved one moved here was so that she could have social interaction.

They were very helpful in what we wanted but they only had a one bedroom. We needed a two bedroom.
