It was a positive experience. I never heard any complaints about the food. I don't see where there could be any improvement. It was close to home and quiet and it was overall a pleasant experience.

went to visit and took tour. Lovely Place. Room availabilty was limited at this time.

This, of course, will be my choice when the time comes.

Excellent and caring staff on all levels. Full range of care depending on needs. Many activites available for residents to participate in. Clean, well lit, secure, and friendly. Highly recommend

My mom is doing fine in their dementia unit for the moment. The staff are understanding the needs of her condition. It has been outstanding with how they keep the community clean, making good meals, and planning activities for the residents. I would recommend to my family.

Our experience thus far has been very positive. [Removed] has been wonderful and helped us through finding the right apartment, reviewing financials, working with us for move in and tending to details upon admission. The apartment was completely freshened up with new carpeting, paint and was spotless on our arrival. Anything that needed tending to was done with joy by maintenance and housekeeping; they couldn't have been more helpful or friendly in providing all we needed. There is a flat screen TV in the living room and Mom had her choice to leave it table top or to be mounted on the wall. She even has a washer and dryer in her apartment and can now do her own laundry. She has not been able to do that for a few years as her former laundry appliances were in the basement and the stairs were too dangerous for her to navigate. Mom has adjusted quite well and says she feels very safe at Deer Meadows. She says the staff is kind and caring and the food good. She has gained five pounds since admission, which she really needed. So far, so good. Mom entered on November 1st and I'd say it has been a very positive experience.

The Staff is very attentive, the food is good, and it's a good value (especially because there's no huge entrance fee.)

It's a large room size and the food is mediocre. They have attentive staff. It's a clean facility even though it's old.

The people are amazing!!! From the front desk to the janitorial staff I pass in the hallway. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. It's very comforting to know that my mom is surrounded by people who care. It's not just a job!

They have been unable to keep enough staff to take care of residents!!! As far as the food goes, they need more of a variety, a proper diet for people with diabetes, and more choices to choose from on the menu.

A facility is only as good as its staff. Deer Meadows Retirement Community, for the most part, has very caring people. They are slow, however, in fixing things in the room and getting a new remote for her TV. I would recommend the facility to others.

There could be more variety in activities for residents. There could be a more healthful menu. There could be more variety in menu. It's ok. It seemed a little different when we visited than what it seems now. I can't say that I hate it, but I definitely do not love it. My mom is tolerating it. I try to encourage her.

We cannot comment on the activities because our loved one doesn't really participate in any of them. However, the care level is good for those in assisted living. The staff is friendly and responsive. There are plenty of scheduled activities and trips. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend Deer Meadows Retirement community to other families.

We picked this community, because of the price and location. They take good care of my dad, they are clean, caring and helpful. It's a good home setting for my dad.

The assisted living apartments are lovely. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Eating in the dining room is a good option especially for socialization. Also different activity opportunities and bus trips. Skilled nursing area not so accommodating. Long wait with call bell on. Not enough staff to give adequate care to bedbound patients.

Overall, the experience has been very pleasant from the time my loved one walked in the door. He has been there for several months now. The only things I have seen that warranted ratings less than a 5 are he's supposed to be getting a shower twice a week, and sometimes when they're understaffed, they miss a day and don't go back to follow up. Sometimes with maintenance issues, I have to escalate beyond the initial work request. Meals are hit or miss with him Some things are very good, some things aren't. And I know that depends on each induvial person's tastes. The facility is always clean. Everybody there is super friendly. My dad never complains about any of his experiences with the staff. He is on personal care level one, so they check in on him every hour or two. For the most part he's a pleasant person but like everyone can be grumpy every once in a while. They've very patient and roll with the punches. He decided to use their doctor services and has been very happy with that, and so have I.

We chose Legacy Gardens of Bristol because it is a smaller facility, it was clean, and the location was great for our family. It was more affordable as well. I would recommend this facility to others looking.

This was a nice community and the community fee was more in our budget. They also have outings for the residents to go on.

This quaint little place was a perfect choice when it became necessary to find a place offering assistance for my mother. It is warm and comfortable like being in your own home and the staff is very nice. They care about the residents.
