Deer Meadows Operating II, LLC

I would recommend this community to others. The community is smaller so the residence gets more personal attention. Communication is good between the staff and our family they keep us well informed and updated. The community is clean and the staff are very friendly

The area where my mother is is always very clean, the rest of the community, however can get dirty. The staff is very nice. From what I have seen, the care my mother is receiving is very good. They do a really good job with working through some of her behaviors. The food could be improved, however the activities are pretty good. Deer Meadows is a good value for the level of care, especially considering they are slightly less expensive than other communities in the area.

Large community offering various levels of care based on need. Our tour was conducted by a member of the security team and included each building and touched on many of the services, activity areas, dining, etc. Definitely a consideration.

This community is a beautiful property. However, it is rather large and I was a little concerned that my aunt might not get the one on one attention that she needed. With being such a large community I found the rooms to be a little smaller than some of the other communities we looked at. One of the features this community offered was a gift shop which I thought was a nice feature. The staff seemed friendly and nice and interacted with the residents.

Nice place and [Removed] was very hospitable. Rooms were a good size. I liked the full kitchen option. I wish there was a little personal outside space.

What I saw I liked. They knew their residents and interacted with each one we met in a friendly manner. The facilities were clean and very attractive. Unfortunately, to me, it was too big. I was afraid my husband would be lost trying to navigate himself around.

The building is always clean and orderly. The staff is very caring and kind and they seem to genuinely care about the well-being of the residents. The other residents here seem happy and well adjusted and they are always friendly too.

Our experience with Deer Meadows has been a positive one overall. It's a nice looking place, the people are friendly, and they do a good job looking out for the residents.

This facility was not only beautiful but had the services, accommodations and the pricing that Mom needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mom liked the fact that she would be in her own apartment and didn't 'have' to attend any of the activities if she chose not to and the BEAUTIFUL Chapel made her happy to hopefully making Deer Meadows her permanent home.

Deer Meadows is a wonderful facility. I loved the warm feeling as I entered in the community. The staff was extremely friendly. The care that I saw being given to residents looks superb.

This a small, charming community. Residents are very involved and well cared for. High on our list!!

My experience with Deer Meadows Retirement Community was okay. They were short staffed, so that presented some challenges. Some things could have been better. I would tell others to spend a little more time talking to more people there.

She fell a lot. She fell three times in two days and they put her in the hospital. Then we moved her to their rehab side and I kept asking how much time was covered by the insurance and they kept saying they didn't know. Well after three weeks, my husband and I were going on vacation and we got the call that her time was up that day. I called to appeal and an hour later I got the call that it was declined. The next day, I got a call from the director asking how soon we could move her out. I said we were away and she was paid up until the end of [date removed]. They didn't care, they just wanted to turn the room over and they still owe us a refund. They were good on the personal care side. The nurses were nice.

I would not recommend unless the person had no other choice. I don't think their decisions are made with the best interest of the residents.

Their compassion is and dedication to the residents can't be compared or found anywhere else. They need more staff, and nurses, and more appetizing food. Based off of our experience, I would recommend them to others.

[name removed] is for the most part, satisfied. When we suggested moving her to a different facility, she said no, she has friends there now. There is no onsite hairdresser, only a barber, so we have to take her out to get her hair cut. Sometimes the staff lacks communication. On the positive side, she is clean and receives her medications regularly. And she is safe there.

Our family had an in person tour and we did not really care for it, the activity area was to far removed from where the residents would stay and the dining room seemed a little dingy. It is an older facility.

Most of the staff was been very friendly, however there is a language barrier which makes communication a little difficult and makes things more complicated. As far as the community in general the reason we picked it was there was a lot included in the price, but after awhile they started to raise the rates. Since we aren't able to see our loved one we are depending a lot on the communication there to keep us updated. This community is all on one floor which makes it accessible to the residents in a wheel chair or a walker. His room is a decent size, it has a decent layout. Our loved one loves the bingo and card games that are offered.

This community did not seem as clean as the community we chose. This is an older community. The person that took us on tour was friendly. I did not think this community would work for my loved one.

This is a lovely place to see — kept quite well. At this time and since there has been lockdown of course, it is very different — like a ghost town — no activities, no opportunity to exercise which has increased my disabilities. The aides are wonderful. The food is terrible. I thought it was bad when I first came 1.5 years ago; but it is pretty much unbelievable or hardly there. I, personally eat mostly toast, coffee.
