Care in San Diego can definitely be expensive, but overall we were happy with the experience and Home Helpers worked with us on cost as best they could. I was happy with my initial talk with the owner, and upon telling him of our grandfather having served in the military before he past, he was able to offer us a slight discount for being a VA household. The coordination between different caregivers made things smoother for our grandmother and helped maintain consistency in her care. Communication was good and it gave our family more peace of mind knowing coverage and scheduling were being managed well. If you are considering in home care for an aging parent, having dependable support can make a big difference.

Home Instead, overall, provided us with very good caregivers. I often had a list of what I wanted the caregiver to do within the time the person was caring for my loved one but there was one who spent most of the time on her cell phone and there was a personality conflict with another.
