My father, [name removed], has been a resident at Brookdale Oak Hollow for more than two years, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this community. Choosing a memory care facility for a loved one is one of the hardest decisions a family can make, and we feel so blessed to have found such an exceptional place. The staff are genuinely caring and attentive — they know my father by name, they know his personality, and they treat him with dignity and warmth every single day. It's clear they don't just see this as a job; they truly care about the residents in their charge. The community itself is always clean, well-maintained, and comfortable — it feels like a home, not a facility. My father is engaged in activities and programs that keep him stimulated and connected, which has made a meaningful difference in his quality of life. As a family member, I deeply appreciate.

Great value compared to others and very flexible regarding a health issue with my family member. He was unable to actually reside in the community as his health took a significant downturn. They refunded 100% of the fees and rent and allowed three weeks to remove his furniture and vacate his apartment.

This is the most functional Adult Home I have experienced due to a highly functional administrative staff and personal care team. From top to bottom there is superior attention to details and the outcome is EVERYONE is happy due to this integration of management with residents. I've helped friends and family for over 2 decades. I would live there if a time came for the easy life. Oh, there is a highly respected chef from the areas top restaurant preparing meals. My mom moves in soon and I can finally find peace. I am a retired veterinarian with high standards and this place is a benchmark! 10 stars!!!

Staff is engaged and caring. Only raises warranted and valid concerns. They go the extra mile if patient runs out of meds. Which doesn't happen very often.

Staff cares about residents a great deal. Parents feel very well cared for.

I'm sorry, my mom was only there for a month and she passed away[Date Removed]. The staff there was great, she just wasn't physically and mentally able to participate in her care

Five Rating - I like the management. The staff is good. The food is good. I like my apartment. I would recommend it to others. We need more residents. Many activities are offered, but often only a few show up. This has to be discouraging to the activities director. They are doing a very good of providing variety, and volume. Facilities are good too. There is on-site, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and hairdressing salon available. Including manicure/ pedicure service. There is also off-street secure underground parking. Apartments are modern, I have 18 foot ceilings. Transportation is offered weekly, and staff will help for special trips

The room is comfortable, with a great size and a large window. The shared bathroom is nice. The staff is caring, attentive, and accommodating, making for a positive experience overall.

I moved here six months ago. There are lots of activities here if you like to stay busy. I enjoy the art classes, jewelry classes, and exercise classes. There are talks about the Native Americans from this area, mental health, the ocean and its occupants, birds native to the area. Many of the talks are given by people on staff from UC Santa Cruz. You can learn sign language, do the giant crossword, trivia, scrabble, play card games. Music is brought to enjoy several times during the month. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is very good. There is transportation to doctors appointments. There are scenic drives on weekends. It is a great place for older people to live.

It’s a very friendly place, everyone is so welcoming! I’m so impressed with how fast everyone learns who you are and anticipate your needs! I’m so glad the perfect apartment for me came available at just the right time!

Basically the care, staff, food, activities etc. are all rated 5. I would recommend anyone looking for assisted living care for their loved one, this place is excellent. Everyone is treated like a family member. Not just the residents, their family as well!

I am very impressed with the staff at Brookdale. They make sure the patients are taken care of yo the best of their ability. The activity directors are very helpful and they have a great understanding of the patients.

It was very easy to navigate to get an appointment. Moved up my mom's apartment when her previous facility shut down without warning. Staff is friendly. Clean rooms. Move in went well

Very clean and welcoming. It felt like coming into a cozy well cared for home. The model unit was beautiful and the common spaces were appealing. The front porch was particularly welcoming.

Overall the staff were very friendly and outgoing. Especially accommodating with trips. A lot of check in's with you to make sure all was good. Every meal had choices whether it was on menu or off menu, no problems. Lastly, residents were quite friendly.

Everything stands out. From the executive director to the nurses to the aides and kitchen staff. Everyone is kind, knowledgeable, and really care about their residents. They are super hard working and very responsive.
