Brookdale

Our family had an in person tour and we would give Brookdale Gardens 5 stars. It was airy and pleasant as you walked in. Easily accessible for pick ups and drop offs. The staff appeared to be really friendly.

Emergency health issues had us transfer an out of state relative. Evaluation found the need for memory care. Brookdale was mentioned by a friend. So happy we're now here. Exceptional

We're so relieved to find a small memory care facility for Dad to receive care.

I was having a problem convincing my parents it was time for assisted living. And as it normally happens, my mother had a bad fall and had to be taken to the hospital and then on to a rehab stay. My father, who has poor vision and dementia, needed care 24/7 that we weren't able to provide. I was so grateful that the staff worked so hard with me to get him into the one respite room they had left at the time. And they were able to care for him until my mother was able to leave rehab. They worked with me and extended his stay beyond their usual respite limits due to our particular circumstances. We ended up liking Brookdale so much that we moved them in permanently. My mom is in assisted living, and any time she wants, she can ring the bell and go and see him in memory care. The fact that they can be together with two separate care types has been huge for our family. I've been very pleased. I know they're safe. My dad thinks it's wonderful. My mom struggles with wanting to be more independent, even though she's not able to. They offer a lot of activities, especially for memory care. And the cost is very reasonable. I feel so blessed that Brookdale was there when we needed them.

There could be a little more sweeping, we do see some dusty bunnies here and there but overall the community is very clean. The staff members are all very nice and very helpful. Anytime we have questions or concerns they happily give us answers and are always very informative. When we first came to tour the community we really liked how they have a nurse practitioner on sight as well as a hair salon and they also do nail trimmings - which we really like because we do not have to take our loved one out of the community to get those things done.

In my careers throughout my life, I have seen many different homes and have not liked any of them until I saw this place. I would not have had my mother here if I didn't. It's clean. It doesn't smell like urine or any other foul odors. There is a low resident to staff ratio. All of the staff take the time to know every resident's name and something about them. The food is first rate and the best food out of any place I've seen. It's a very well run facility.

We loved the community when we toured it. They didn't have availability for my loved one when we needed it.

The staff genuinely cares and knows who my mom is and what she likes and dislikes. They really give that personalized care and to me that makes a world of difference. Other places we have been they just did not know her needs and here they really do and they meet all of those needs. It has been absolutely wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend Brookdale College Square to other families.

I loved Brookdale Southpoint. If it were up to me, this would have been my first choice for my dad. I found all of the staff to be warm and welcoming. They also were more than willing to work with us financially. The only drawback was that my dad would not have been able to have his own room.

The Executive Director is amazing. She addressed an issue our family was unhappy about and resolved the issue to our satisfaction instead of recycling it. We would like to give another shout out to the amazing caring staff and management at Brookdale Wornall Place. Thank you.

I'm grateful to have my loved one at Brookdale Sarasota Midtown. They provide excellent care and service.

I am very happy with the experience that my loved one and family have had here. I like this community so much I would want to live here myself. The staff communication with the family is very good. They are responsive to our questions, and they will reach out to us if there are changes with my loved one. The community will send a monthly report out as well to family. There is a menu for the residents to order from, and there are three meals a day plus snacks available.

Our Aunt has been at Brookdale for 4 years and she is always happy when we visit. The monthly planned events for family members are always a FUN time together! We feel she is in a safe and thriving environment for her condition.

Mom has dementia, but she is physically strong, walks a lot and doesn’t like to be penned in. Brookdale Sylvan Ranch was the PERFECT place for her. After struggling with other places it has been truly a blessing to have stable, friendly, caring, and outgoing staff - actively engaged in Mom’s well being. Unlike other places - they know her likes, her favorite color, her medical needs, and they keep me informed. It has been heart breaking to watch her decline, but wow - at BD Sylvan Ranch I know she is getting the care and attention she needs. It is truly a blessing and I feel confident in their care. This facility is great! The meals are perfect, my loved one has never eaten so much! They have a different staff on the weekends versus weekdays and that can be a challenge at times, but overall the staff is great. The Activities Director is incredible, she's just a doll and does everything. Unfortunately, my loved one chooses not to participate in the activities (his personal choice). I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

This was a really nice community with good staff follow up. Also it was further from family than we wanted.
