The staff is friendly and courteous. They are helpful as well. The activities are good and its also a friendly community. I would recommend this community to others.

I am really looking forward to living at Novel Place! I am impressed by the friendliness of ALL the staff and residents.

The facility was clean, staff is nice, nurse and aides are professional, and they have many activities for the residents.

They have some normal staffing shortages, but it's a lovely place - clean, cheery, bright. I would highly recommend it.

I am an entertainer that does presentations at Novel Place in Overland Park. I have been to many retirement communities over the past fifteen years. The impression I got when entering the front door was the elegance and beauty of the interior architecture, which continues throughout the building. A very friendly atmosphere. I have talked to residents, and they raved about how they like living there. It is also an ideal location, close to shopping and other amenities.

My mom moved to Novel Place a few months ago and we both feel blessed to have found this wonderful community. The staff at Novel Place are kind, supportive and understanding. Their warm and sincere interactions are what convinced my mom to make this milestone move. My mom lived alone for twenty plus years, so she was a bit anxious to move to this type of living situation. The staff did a fantastic job making sure she was getting connected to the other residents and learning her new environment without overwhelming her. The food, activities, and cheerful environment have been great for my mom. I can’t recommend Novel Place Senior Living enough. If you are searching for a place for yourself or a loved one I would add this place to your list.

Very happy. I would like to see iron fencing on north south and back of Novel Place to prevent people from cutting through from apartments in rear of novel. Not safe for walking residents and dog walkers.

Very good. Except sometimes the food is not very good. Sunday buffets are great. They finally added more milk to the potatoes which helped immensely. We are tired of pork loin. The pie was great - also the cookies. Ham was good. The side salad should not be put on hot plate or with that food. The green beans need help. [name removed] and the new waiters are doing very good.

Activities - abundant and fun and wonderful variety. Facility - well arranged, convenient, and well maintained. Staff - friendly, personal and helpful. Food - good, nice variety. I am so glad I am living here!

Truly enjoy living here. I try to participate in as many activities as possible. The residents here are friendly and welcoming! Your staff have all been very helpful and polite.

I have lived here approximately 3 months. The rooms are great. If there is a problem, maintenance is always willing to help. All staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The kitchen puts out great food. The days are busy because of the activities director. This is now my forever home.

My husband & I moved into Novel Place Senior Living in January of this year and are absolutely thrilled with it. First of all the staff is outstanding and helps you in so many ways.. We consider them our friends. Speaking of friends, we have met so many wonderful people who have become dear friends and extended family. The activities are on going & very diverse, exciting and something for everyone!! We are hoping to be here for many more years and would highly recommend Novel Place to every senior.

A great place - fun activities you can choose to go to - a beautiful facility with plenty of places to meet people - love the porch - library, sitting in rockers, fireplace in the winter. Meeting new friends, staff is exemplary - willing to listen and help!
