My mother has been here for over a ½ year and loves it! I could go on-and-on about how wonderful this place is. The Activities Dept. is spectacular! And when you live in a place like this, you need an incredible variety to pick from. I’m not talking about the normal things like Bingo or Crafts, but things like bus trips to a famous hot dog stand and sitting by a river. Fun group games like The Price is Right. Cool activities are done such as music videos too. This summer a garden club was organized (with free t-shirts & hats) to grow vegetables, and then given to local food banks. As Mom’s “responsible party”, I want her to be active and happy. A robust activities program is key to that. Overall, the facility has a nice home-like feel to it. I know a couple new facilities are being built in the area, and new might be nice, but I think Seniors really appreciate more of a home-like feel to things. We couldn’t be happier that things worked out so well for Mom at Brandywine.

Our family had an in person tour and the staff were very caring, and it had a great atmosphere. My husband and I would be staying in the room together an we did not like how the room we would of moved into looked over a parking lot, and they did not have a private deck. We toured another community which had the private deck which we liked more, and the location was more convenient.

Our family, including our mom, are very pleased with the facilities, activities, and level of care the professionals at Brandywine in Pennington have provided. We initially registered our mom for a respite stay, but after one week she wanted to stay there permanently. Our mom was was hesitant to stay there, but the staff did an outstanding job of making her feel welcomed and comfortable. We see our mom on a weekly basis and she loves to discuss the activities and events she they had.

The community was tried hard to make sure all the residents to participated in the activities. The staff were good at accommodating my loved one.

It's been an excellent experience. My mother loves the place, and I would highly recommend it. She loves the food. It's a great quality, and they give her plenty of it. If she wants more, they'll give you more. The staff is absolutely excellent. They're very attentive to my mother's needs. Overall there's not really anything they can improve on, other than restrictions on visiting due to Covid. But I don't blame them for that at all. That's just the situation we're in.

Our family is indebted to the amazing staff at Brandywine MIddlebrook Crossing especially during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. We had some special circumstances that required extra care during the lockdown and the staff was incredibly responsive to the needs of our family. The community spaces are clean as a whistle and never anything out of place. The activities staff is full of fun ideas for the residents enjoy all they have to offer. We looked at a lot of places and as soon as we stepped foot into Brandywine we knew this was the place for our loved one. It felt like home.

After moving in this March, my 97 year old Dad says he is in "paradise"! The staff is amazing. [name removed], the Director of Community Relations, has excellent customer service skills. She does her best to quickly work out all of the details regarding a new resident's admittance. The nursing staff is caring and compassionate. [name removed], a member of the Activities Staff, is outgoing and always smiling. The company the Brandywine works with which enables veterans to apply for the aid and assistance benefit (if applicable) competently submits the application to the VA so that the appropriate benefit is approved in record time.

The staff genuinely cares about the residence including management. The nursing superior in compatence. They were available to us at any time if we had questions. Communication was very good and they kept us well informed. I would recommend this community to others.

The Brandywine Living at Pennington staff was instrumental in gifts of time and information prior to residency, along with a firm commitment towards mom's comfort and needs after her moving into the facility. Personal, medical, and social attention are given to Mom on a daily basis. Elderly care guidance is readily available to the family. Brandywine offers a "home" environment in its neighborhood, and the staff indeed ARE extended family to the residents. Thank you! Joylene M. (Family member)

Moving our parents into an assisted living facility was something I thought would never happen. Mom’s constant care due to dementia and Dad suffering a stroke changed all that. We wanted them together in a place that was equipped to meet both their needs. Mom has been in memory care since [date removed] ad was on the AL side. I can honestly say I am able to sleep at night knowing how well they are taken care of. The staff is wonderful, many of whom have become family to us. Especially during these Covid times, the way that they have kept in constant contact through phone calls and FaceTime has been such a blessing. The atmosphere is clean, warm and friendly with excellent care from the nurses and care managers. I was always confident that they were keeping me in the loop with every situation. Dad has recently passed and many of them have cried with me. I will always be eternally grateful for the care they have received during this difficult time in their lives.

My Mom is a long time resident of Brandywine, over 10 years and we could not have made a better choice. We selected Brandywine for the location, on-site wellness center, the staff and the numerous activities offered. Fast forward to today and the many of the staff members have become like our family and personally I've enjoyed making friends with so many of the residents. The wellness staff has always been so helpful and accomodating, it is really beyond my original expectations. The Directors have always been very approachable, first [name removed] and now [name removed] have always been wonderful and responsible to any questions. And I could not omit [name removed] who provides great events for the residents. To me Brandywine at Howell has been a perfect choice and remains a perfect choice after so many years. Thank you to the great staff at Brandywine for taking such great care of my Mom.

My mother is a resident at Brandywine at Howell. She is [age removed] & as you can image this was not an easy move for her to leave where she lived for so long & it was not a easy decision for the family during a pandemic. Brandywine made the transit so positive & worried free because of the safe atmosphere they made during these times. She has become more active & sounds so happy every time we speak to her. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful you can tell how much the team cares about their residents. They are always checking on them, making sure they have what they need & making sure they are entertained. They truly treat each resident as family. It’s a beautiful place, very clean, nice rooms, & very welcoming. I can't pick out a single individual, they all have made my Mom comfortable, made her laugh & made every day better then the last. Best decision ever made for my Mom just wished we did it sooner seeing how happy she is living at Brandywine Living of Howell !!!

My mother was a resident in Reflections at Brandywine Living at Litchfield for the last three years. We were really happy with her care and the caring community that Brandywine provided for her. In the three years she lived at Brandywine, we got to know the staff quite well. They always made us feel welcome, as if we were "visiting grandma's house!" We came to most look forward to the Family Connections events every month, where the whole family was invited for music, delicious food, dancing, arts and crafts - unique events each month and so much fun! Brandywine feels like family. Their kindness, understanding, and care in difficult decisions and transitions meant the world to us...and above all, welcoming our family with open arms.

Our loved ones room is very nice and the grounds are really nice.

From day 1 I have felt like a part of the Brandywine family. The entire staff is caring and loving and the residents are their top priority. [name removed], the Exectutive Director is amazing and always takes the time to communicate and connect with the residents and their families. She is compassionate about her residents and their health and well-being. We love being part of Brandywine of Mahwah.

My father has Parkinson’s and dementia and is in the reflection unit for memory care. The staff is so wonderful and caring and compassionate that we know he’s in good hands. They communicate all the time and make us really feel like we’re a part of the community even if we can’t go in to see him. My father absolutely loves the food and he’s always in good spirits when we talk to him. If you have a parent with dementia this is the facility for you the care is exceptional!!!!!!

I moved my 90 year old mother into Brandywine in Litchfield Ct after a rehab, and during the pandemic. Because of the virus we visit through a plexiglass partition. They are vigilant and keep the patients safe. My mother is in the memory unit. She is healthy, loves the food, has made some friends and looks good. The staff has been very helpful. I live out of state and I feel that my mother is in a safe place with real professionals.

We moved our 88-year-old mother into Brandywine at the Sycamore in September. Out of all the interviews and virtual tours conducted, Brandywine gave us the best first impression. They were the most welcoming, helpful, and informative of the lot. The virtual tour made my mother feel wanted and she could see herself living there at the facility. We had heard it had a good reputation but subsequently discovered that it was the staff that were the true gems. Thanks to the staff's continued interaction and devotion, our mother easily made the transition to the new facility and became part of the Brandywine family in no time. She remarked that it was her new home pretty much from the very beginning of her stay there. She adored all of the staff that she interacted with. She especially loved [names removed], each of whom made it a point to look after her. Although her time at Brandywine was cut short due an early passing, she was among people that truly cared for her.

Brandywine at Mahwah has been the godsend to our family. For years we worried about our grandmother on the other end of the country, who rejected our pleas to receive in home help or move to assisted living, despite her having a really difficult and limited life in her home. When she agreed a few years ago that it would be good to try an assisted living facility and decided on Brandywine at Mahwah, she was immediately impressed with the engagement programs and delicious menu options. Having already had years of experience with another close relative in an assisted living facility, I was very hands on, during her years at Brandywine. My grandmother had the best, last 4 years of her life at Brandywine, and we are forever grateful. We are discerning costumers, and I highly recommend Brandywine for your loved one’s care.

My brother has been in this facility for over two and a half years as a result of memory loss. For the first two years he was in assisted living. During those two years they were so accommodating to his needs, treated him warmth, dignity and respect while allowing him the freedom to live independently yet monitoring him for his safety. Due to illness and memory deterioration he recently was transfer to their memory care unit. They have been marvelous with good care , kindness and patience! The administration and nursing staff have always been approachable and accommodating while working under extraordinary circumstances due to the Covid virus. We are fortunate to have found Brandywine.
