Brookdale

The staff is caring. My mom always says she loves being at Brookdale. My only issue is the difficulty retaining staff that shows up. They are great people and deserve to be paid more.

They have been taking care of my mother which can’t do any thing for herself. The staff have always been very helpful they let me know any time there is an issue. Their usually op top of things and will let me know when I need to pick up any items she needs..

I felt the event was very good. All the residents really enjoyed the attention and guests at the property. I'd like to see these types of events continue. The socialization is good for the residents.

I would highly recommend Brookdale Assisted Living in Port Charlotte. The staff especially are understanding, caring, knowledgeable and accomodating. The transition for my parents from home to the assisted living has been very difficult, but the staff has been very supportive both to my parents and me. They have done everything they can to assist my parents and have worked diligently with me to get them moved in. I have so appreciated their concern, compassion and patience as my parents continue to adjust.

All of the staff members are very friendly. Food is really good with amazing selections. The activities should have crafts more than once a week. It is expensive. Especially since meals are included with the monthly fee. My mom only eats dinner but pays for 3 meals a day.

Was welcomed by the sweetest management and staff. Community is clean and decorated so nice. You can just feel the home feeling and love when you walk in the door. Observed staff working so great with residents. Highly recommend for your loved one. Our tour was full of information we needed and all questions were answered. Lunch was beautifully presented and smelled wonderful!

The overall experience was very good. This activities is good. The value for the money is fair. We picked this community because of the location.

My mom moved my grandma into Brookdale Wayne in April 2022. This was a hard decision to make being she was living well mostly on her own in an apartment for some time, but there wasn’t anything to stimulate her mentally or physically. We did have an aide coming in but in home care is expensive and still didn’t solve the isolation and socialization issue. It was hard to downsize at first but we all, including my grandma, quickly realized she has everything she needed. She has plenty of room for her things, she has amazing activities that keep her busy day to day, she now has friends and a social life again. With her care, staff takes such great care of her, they communicate with us and give us updates. When I visit my grandma now, she is happier, more active, she’s getting more care than she was getting at home. She is healthier and more closely followed because nursing and the doctor. We are very satisfied with our decision and would recommend to anyone looking for their family.

It’s hard to pick a place for your parent you want the best for them, and we feel we found just that. What makes this better than the others, amongst other things, is the staff. The quality of care is excellent but the major driving factor is they all truly care. I looked at several places before deciding on Brookdale. Yes, there were new places, yes price matters, and some options were different, but what sold me on Brookdale was the warmth and compassion of the staff. [name removed]at the desk is always smiling and pleasant. The food is excellent. [name removed]the nurse has always been responsive and prompt with all my questions and needs. [name removed]is always there when I need her. I can’t say enough about [name removed]who runs amazing things for her to do. But the staff, [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], they go above and beyond for my mom. I could not ask for more from them. Mom needed help, mom needed a safe place, we got that and much more at Brookdale!

The activities director is wonderful in memory care. My loved one in memory care receives very good care and attention from the staff. The only downfall I see, is that they need more staff. There are three meals a day served to the residents, and they have some choices to choose from. Some of the activities include outings, ice cream socials, flower arranging, book club, and more for the residents to engage with.

I love the care and concern they always show to the residents. I truly feel they treat them as if they are their own family. I cannot express enough how I appreciate them and what they do. They are truly gifted as a staff. They never give up. They gently guide with passion , humor, and the gentle touch of angles here on earth. I can rest now , knowing my mom Is in good care. They have a lot of activites. We picked this community because, of the location and price. My advice to other families, is to look at what you get, for the money that you are spending.

My dad is living his best life since moving into Brookdale Spring Shadows. He used to sit at home all alone and watch TV. Now he has 3 hot meals a day and sits at a cozy diner table to talk and laugh with friends and the sweet staff. The staff there is very kind and loving. They do not just take care of the resident's physical needs. They also care about them like family and treat them with kindness and respect. The staff makes an extra effort to connect to the residents and show genuine interest in their lives and their families. There are opportunities to leave and go out in the community to fun trips and eat out at restaurants or see movies. This is a great place for your family member to be taken care of with very high standards.

I’ve lived here for a year and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I enjoy taking daily morning walks, there’s beautiful outdoor space. The food is better than I expected and it’s just been nice to have more people to socialize with.

My mother started in Assisted living for 4 years and for the past year in memory care. My sister and I care for her and we have been very happy with the care givers. They are very caring and keep us informed of any changes in mother’s care. They truly care about the residents. We would recommend this facility.

Our tour with Brookdale Hillsborough was very positive. The staff were all very friendly and accomdaioting. They were thorough and answered all of our questions that we had.

When I moved my mother to Brookdale she had been in and out of the hospital simply because she could no longer take care of herself. She was not eating properly or taking her medication correctly. At Brookdale she thrived. They take great care of her and she enjoys being part of the community. During the pandemic, I was scared I would lose her but they enacted strict protocols and kept their community safe. I highly recommend Brookdale Spring Shadows.

This facility is good and very welcoming. They do a good job decorating for the seasons and celebrating holidays. It's been a very good experience for mom so far. My husband and I are relieved to have mom in such a safe place. The staff is really nice. Mom has a call button that she wears and they respond well when she has needs. They have PT there for her everyday, which is great. Sometimes the food is a little cold, but otherwise no issues there. I would recommend them to friends and family.

What really stood out to us about Brookdale Baywood is the friendliness of the staff and the way the treat our loved one and the other residents, and they have continued to be great all around. Every time we come to visit they have different activities going which has been great. Based on our experience with Brookdale Baywood we would recommend this community to other families.
