A very nice location. People are friendly.

My mother is very happy here. I have visited and was treated like family! So happy she has made her home here, and I do not worry that she is taken care of.

It's a nice community, and very clean. One of the reasons I picked it was the friendliness of the staff, as well as the administrative staff, they are very good. They have a pretty full schedule of activities, my loved one probably can't participate in some of it due to her condition. This isn't strictly an Alzheimer's facility, but they do try to keep my loved one busy, and they are trying to add more activities for those with Alzheimer's. Most of the residents are older than my loved one, and she tends to gravitate towards the staff for socialization as they are younger, and they are great with that. The food seems to be good. There really isn't anything I would like to see improved or done better, we are pretty happy with them.

They have been so compassionate and welcoming to my mother. One major thing that I have noticed is that when any of them pass one of the people living there they always speak and smile to them, using their name. I never saw that at the previous Assisted Living place that my mother was living at. It was easier for them to just look down and walk by. It was disrespectful to those living there. I am so pleased at how things are going. I would like to see them incorporate more music therapy into their program. At meal times it is so quiet, I think they would maybe liven up a little with soft background music playing.

I was extremely impressed with the facility as well as the staff. We were able to speak to a couple of the residents as well and they had all very positive things to say about the facility.

The was a nice community and our 2nd choice. This community was too big for my loved one.

We've found they've been very caring about best care possible in a smaller, individualized environment. We were thrilled that they had a good Covid protocol. It seems like Coivid-wise, they're in a good place. They're still offering activities. In the Fall they had a sing along with residents inside, and a couple of family members outside per resident, and they served hot chocolate and cookies. We observed the activities director coming in one-on-one offering crafting activities. The family has been able to go in a couple of times for visits, two of us at a time. We were pleased to see photos of our loved one around the Holidays where she was sitting next to other residents, wearing a little Christmas hat, and she was smiling and looked so happy. That made us feel so good. We love that the staff have fun with the residents, for example doing elf on the shelf. If there are care services they don't offer on-site, they were able to authorize off-site care for her. Once safe with Covid, they'll be offering more on-site services like haircutting, etc. When small issues have arisen, they have been in touch, and we've felt like we've worked through the issue together to a satisfactory result. There's only about 60 units here, with room for about 77 residents, and that really spoke volumes to us about the more direct attention our loved one has received. When our loved one needs something, they let us know right away. Whenever we've needed anything, they've bent over backwards to help.

My older brother moved to Kokomo Place earlier this year. He really appreciates the cleanliness of the facilities and the quality of the meals. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

I can’t begin to say how very happy I’ve decided to bring my 99 year old Mom to Trail Creek Place. The entire staff is very friendly, helpful and most of all very dedicated to make sure that your loved one is well taken care for. I find that if you have any problems or concerns the staff will direct you, if they can’t answer the question to someone who can. Whether you need to talk to the Director or talk to an aide your question will be answered that day. My Mom is well taken care of. I feel very lucky to have my Mom here. ?? Wonderful Facility

My father and stepmother were residents of Grand Emerald for a few years. They enjoyed the food immensely, we enjoyed the great parties and family events put on by the staff. The nurses were always on top of things. It is a great place!

Placing our mother in an assisted living facility was not without plenty of research and emotion. We had visited other facilities in the area, but immediately felt that "Trail Creek" was home. The quaint, cozy, home like atmosphere was very helpful with the transition. The staff from the start have been helpful and interested in the affairs of our mother. The high standards and professional staffing brings comfort to our family. We are happy to lend our mother to this community of new friends as we together face this next season. We found a new HOME.

I have had years of experience working both in supervision and nursing care in long term care facilities. I was quite impressed with Trail Creek Place Memory Care Unit. The facility is quite “ home like” and cozy,and the rooms are generous in space. The staff is friendly and attentive and residents seemed well cared for and engaged in activities. I have looked at several facilities in the area and place this one near the “top of my list” of choice. I have not read the recent state survey which I always do to assess quality of nursing care which will also be a determining factor for me. This facility is not like many others..and definitely has its own unique character..which is hard to find!

I have found that the people who work at Trail Creek Place In Mich. City, Indiana work very well together as a team. I can tell that from the start when we moved my mother-in -law out of the first location to Trail Creek place. I would check in with her 3-4-5 times a week to see how she was doing. I found that she would tell me that the people would spend time talking to talk to her and other people. As time passed the needs of my mother changed. I went to Trail Creek Place for I knew that would be the correct place for my mother. I know that day my mother moved in was a very hard day for her and me. [Name removed]

Grand Emerald Place is a perfect place for seniors to live and enjoy life -I know the staff and management are truly committed to providing the best quality of life for their residents-they go above and beyond!

This Assisted Living facility is clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. I looked around before choosing Kokomo Place, we are very happy , it is the best for our Mother's needs.

I liked the community when I got to tour it. The people were very nice. The staff were nice and they had a sign to welcome [Removed], I have no complaints. However I was concerned with the stairs, it was set up like an apartment building with many levels. I was afraid my mom would get confused and nothing was available on the first floor.
