They treat your family like family, they do not go there and act like it is a job, they act like they are caring for their family. Do NOT wait to place your loved one in a facility like I did, my mother was too far along to be able to participate in most activities :/ she could not enjoy everything that Sunlit had to offer.... But even at her stage placing her there meant that I could go visit daily and be her daughter again for her last few months not her caregiver that she didn't want help from. The chef and crew make amazing home cooked meals every day, I fed my mom there daily and was always so happy about the meals, great variety and very good! I did love sunlit, I am glad that I took my mom there, I wish I had sooner. Only downside I saw was a continuous understaffed problem in my mom's building, very stressful for the caregivers, but they still gave amazing care.

The Director is wonderful. Kind, caring what's to make sure you're happy. Staff is always very friendly and a smile onto face.

The staff is friendly and caring. The rooms are bright, cheerful and homey. I wish there were more activities and structured social opportunities.

They seem to get to know each one of the patients in order to assist them properly. I would and have recommended them to others.

Rooms are very limited on space when sharing the room. There is limited space to enter the closet. The food service is good and healthy meals are given. However afternoon snacks are not consistent. Staff is very helpful and show concern and safty for the residents.

The staff of The Gardens of Riverside are friendly & caring. I wish there were a higher ratio of caregivers to residents. The caregivers are unable to promptly attend to every residents' needs. Often I had to wait for a caregiver to return from a lunch break in order to help my mother to the bathroom. The other 1 or 2 caregivers there, had to stay watching the main floor area. The caring staff does their best.

I know there is probably no way to make the cleanliness and meal issues any better without charging twice the price, so I feel a little guilty about those numbers. Bottom line, the Gardens took good care of my stepdad in a very bad situation. We had to move him and mom to different facilities (they both lied to us about the situation for so long that we then had to make an emergency move and there was no room in the memory care facility at her place), and the staff was very kind to my mom when she visited him, even though we all knew that her presence made their job much harder.

There was an issue the first time, where they failed to get his laundry done for the whole visit, which was a problem when he ran out of clean clothes. This second time, they failed to fix his shower for a whole week, so he didn't get a shower that whole time. The facility is so beautiful and comfortable, it feels like a lovely retreat. The bedrooms are tiny, but this helps encourage people to get out and engage with the community. The staff were so warm and made my dad feel like he mattered. I love that he got quick responses when using the call button they provided.

The staff is friendly and seems to care for everybody here no matter what their situation is. The meals were suffering for variety, but now they've got a new manager in the kitchen and the meals seem to be getting better and better each day.

My loved one was previously a resident at Aegis at Shadowridge and the experience was good for them overall. All of my ratings are very close to all 5s, with just one or two experiences with staff that could have been slightly better.

Courtyard yard room was great! Mom really enjoyed the views. Staff was really good and we enjoyed the building layout and atmosphere. Staffing could improve with help to and from activities.

The Valley Crest Memory Care community is clean, however our loved ones drain in the sink and shower have sewer gnats that are persistent and inconsistency addressed. We do like the staff members there very much!

Overall I am pleased because my love one is not complaining. There are some issues that I see that I would change but overall I am pleased. The general staff has been good. We chose the facility because of the staff. The food and furniture/furniture repairs could use some improvement.

Staff is attentive and has responded to any concerns I have. They keep me updated on any needs my family member has. Gardens are very pretty and they have many activities to involve the family. I would highly recommend.

I would overall recommend the community. My main frustration is that the ownership tried to drastically increase rates this year. The management at the facility worked with us to help minimize the increase in costs, otherwise, the proposed increases from the ownership group would have made staying at The Gardens of Modesto cost prohibitive.

What our family likes the most about Sunlit Gardens is the staff members, they really do seem to care about the residents there. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

I would recommend the community overall. It is a nice facility that has a good staff.

The residents steal stuff it's really frustrating Even if you have a name on it! So basicly your Loved one can have nothing of value! Other than that it's ok ! Clean pleasant staff and residents seem happy! Very pricey!

Sunlit Gardens has caring staff, good food options, and limited but helpful activities. I appreciate how they have separate buildings for different stages of dementia/Alzheimer's. The facility is older and smaller than many facilities in the area, but it's well maintained. Staff turnover has been a recent issue, but other than that, I've been very happy with Sunlit Gardens.

I liked the smaller dinning rooms. I would recommend them in and yes the communication is good. The experience was good.
