They do a great job keeping the community very clean and the staff members are super friendly. The meals look wonderful and our loved one says the food is pretty good. The activities director [name removed] is a wonderful enthusiastic young gal, she is always encouraging the residents to get our of their rooms and get involved. The value for cost is very reasonable for everything they have to offer, there are some great care givers here. The kitchen staff and the front office staff is great.

Depending on your loved one's needs, I would be cautious. If they're fairly social and want to make friends, this is not a good place. I think it's important to match the facility with the census of the people in that facility. For instance, their activities were lackluster, and I was not impressed. They had people who couldn't talk or were comatose sitting in on trivia questions. So activities were not necessarily matched to the ability of the residents. The staff were mostly very friendly and tried their hardest, although you always have one here and there that weren't. My loved one said the food was good, with a good selection, and he's a pretty picky eater. Overall it's a nice facility. But I think if you're going to be paying that much money, you'd better have a a lot more activities, and ones that are better suited for residents of different abilities. And if you have a loved one who is very active and alert, I would double check the census of the people there.

We had a virtual tour of this facility earlier this year and wanted to visit in-person to insure we had all of our questions answered and of course, to assist us in choosing the “right” community for mom. We loved the way the residents interacted with the staff. Each resident is known by name and seemed content to be there. Each resident, once evaluated, may start out in a “transition” building for a while, then moved to another building that may be better suited for their needs. This is a concept that could be hard on a dementia/memory care person. We loved the look and feel of the buildings and could see that each member of the staff was very caring of each resident. The cost was a bit out of our range. The community fee was high from our perspective. We had an opportunity to sample the resident chefs cooking back in March and were very pleased with it. In addition, we wanted to have a back up community chosen, in case there was no availability at our first choice community. Sun Lit has no space at all. We were offered to be placed on a waiting list, but we are not wanting to do that. We appreciate that attention to our visit by [name removed].

We toured this community and it was very nice. They had activities going on and the staff was very friendly. The answered all our questions and the tour was good.

We had a virtual tour of this facility. Very impressive. We saw no residents, but the staff appeared to be busy. The facility appeared clean and well kept. We were able to sample the chefs Irish meal as the facility sent a meal to our home. Excellent! They have transition facilities as needed for memory care requirements. Price was reasonable, not too many add-ons.

They seem to have enough people to help your loved one.

My loved one likes the community. They even have activities for the residents during the pandemic.

they did a really good job taking care of my dad. The staff really try and do a great job. I think overall this was a good place for us to go. I would recommend this community to others.

Great, kind staff. [Name removed] was so living and personable. (The cookies given as gifts were outstanding, by the way! :)) The deco. was beautiful and the apartments were nice but having no real closets was an issue. My mom would not like having only 1 armoire! Also, liked the counter for the kitchenette but I think built in cabinetry or a pantry would serve better than a huge counter top.

This facility is very elegant. The staff is exceptional, all levels from [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed], to front desk, [name removed] and [name removed]. [Name removed] worked with us with loving and professional manner. Any concerns were dressed respectfully and quickly. The Med Techs and CNA's were and observed to be very caring with [name removed]'s needs. Also appreciated the reasonable prices for her room.

Brookdale is a nice and friendly environment but needs updating so I gave the 4 star rating instead of 5. It may be a bit too spread out with too many rooms and hallways for my mom to navigate. On the other hand, for higher functioning residents that can be a plus. The staff seem caring, knowledgeable and invested in their residents well-being.

In general, the care for my friend, Bill Springer, has been very good with few exceptions. He has been in this facility for three months and is very happy with his care by the caregivers and personnel in general.

My husband was in this community for a short period of time and I have no complaints of how things had went for him. The staff where friendly and helpful to all of his needs during his stay. The property was clean and they had a lot of nice amenities for the residents. He just ended up needing more care then they had to offer.

Specifically asked for places with day care and/ or respite care. No Day Care, Minimum Respite care too long - 30 days!

I have recently taken a tour of this community and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I thought they did a great job with the presentation and had a lot of great amenities to offer the residents. I thought the property was beautiful and very well maintained by all of the staff. It was just not the right location for us in the end decision but I would recommend it to anyone.
